  1. LDP has is, if you can keep them occupied with your big baddy through all 21 wounds then what have they been doing about the rest of your crew that is still able to beat on them?

He's great in that capacity even if he does not damage at all.

Oh, I missed the 'Immune to Influence' so yeah no Obey's.

  2. Bad JuJu should be able to come back 2 times in a game making him almost 21 wounds worth that hits hard. Also his regen means you need to kill him in that one turn or he's gonna bounce back up. All that for 14 SS. I think it's worth planning around if you are gonna run him. Also with 1-2 Obeys on him he should be killing something in the turn he drops.

  3. Yup and don't go into this game thinking that the starter set is all you are gonna use as a foundation. You can totally mix and match within your faction or recruiting limitations.

My main Master right now is Seamus and his box set is pretty straight forward, Lure and kill, isolate and pounce with a few other things thrown in. Now there are plenty of other models for me to make different tactics with to choose from as an example I might just want a bunch of big guys to start and get Killjoy, 1-2 Constructs etc. or Maybe I want to spam a bunch of dogs or go all shooty even with resurectionists. even if it's not quite like the Ortegas.

Anyhow I second the rulebook acquiring as I have learned a lot since having mine.

  4. Curious what level most people are playing at these days and why. I have played games ranging from whatever a box can field all the way up to a recent brawl @ 50ss. I like them all though I think 30-35ss is the min I would like to play as you finally start getting some toys on the table. I have also noticed that the bigger the games, the longer they take, though, we are still learning a lot of the rules in our group still.

  5. Somewhat on topic, we are actually trying to get everyone that games at our LGS to buy one Teddy model and it is each persons job to paint it as a different Care Bear. We will then put all the evil Care Bears in our display case. Hopefully we can get 5-10 of them going..

    Now this is totally Awesome!

  6. Yeah, I think that should actually be listed as an ability, to be able to become reckless and have an extra action and have to suffer a wound. This is where someone with rulesy power would have to step in and make the choice for us.

I would play it as optional and if there is a question about it in a game, just filp for it and move on.

  7. Thing is, it's not that they are losing fast...some models like Lilith and Seamus actually have fast. The pigs have it as a +1, which to me indicates it is more optional. An additional ability they can activate. They can be reckless though will suffer wounds and gain fast.

  8. Teddy is excellent for any Neverborn as he is the only real melee monster we have. (Niphilim are just OK and Juju is not a beatstick)

As a Pandora player I find it hard to justify paying 15 SS for Teddy/Kade just to use 'Where's Teddy'. Kade is cheap at 6 SS but he is not even worth that IMHO.

Sorry but Zoraida cannot 'Obey' Teddy.

Mature Nephilim are pretty beatsticky, so is Lilith and a swarm of young Nephilim are really brutal with a few flays, also don't pass off Bad Juju, the Doppleganger with any other beatstick on the table and the Hooded Rider is nasty as well. So while Teddy is a beat down kinda guy, he's definitely not the only one, in fact the Neverborn probably have more beatsticks than any other faction.

You could Obey if you had a brawl with Pandora and Zoraida and Teddy was standing next to Pandora. Even add in Hamelin and a voodoo doll and do it a many times if you want.

  9. Not really sure how a mature neph will take out Seamus if the rest of Seamus' crew is around without support.

First Seamus is gonna get lured out of cc, then he's gonna shoot the neph and then a punk zombie or two will counter charge. While there is potential this will work, without Lilith or something else hitting them, Seamus is probably gonna survive and then kill off the biggin'
