Well it seems Saturdays are not the best, so we are moving this to Thursday evenings starting around 5:30-6pm and sharing the space with some other players of other games as well, perhaps luring some to Malifaux. Greetings all, If you live in the Denver Metro Area and can make it south to Enchanted Grounds (EG) have I got good news for you. After a rousing day of Demos at EG, the store owner has kindly offered the use of his store, the store terrain, and the space for games of Malifaux every Saturday from Noon till you get tired playing. This will start April 3rd. Now while I would love to be there each and every Saturday I think the Mrs. would make a corpse out of me and end up with a Shiney soul-stone. As such I will be there the 1st and 3rd Saturday of each month doing Demos and helping with free play. The hope is to have the first official Tournament in May. The mantle of Con Manager has shifted several times since then, but it is still going strong. I am not sure if the double blind Axis and Allies is still going on, but there is plenty of fun to be had all weekend. I hope the NW is treating you well.

Just wanted to say thanks to all who attended the Demo. I hope to see some of you at Genghis Con in Mid Feb for another Demo. Followup Report: While setting up I drew the attention of several people in the store and was able to quickly launch into a Full Demo game. As the their game progressed others watched and examined the various miniatures or flipped through the rule book, asking questions. All in all Sonnia's fire destroyed Rasputina's Ice. Had another Demo, this time a quick throw down lining up forces but a stones throw away. Showed how to do spells, melee, shooting, and shooting into melee (pre-errata). Hopefully the store will stock the product, the challenge of course is getting in with the right distributor (eFigures, Warpath, or the one other I can never seem to remember). Looking forward to going back there again to do Demo's in the future.

Well if you get yourself into a Brawl sized game, the Rare Stat count doubles, (so Rare 2 becomes Rare 4) so while the tactic does not work for Scraps it would work rather nicely for Brawls.

Sadly though this is not possible. Note on the Mature Nephalim the fact that is says Rare 2. On page 21: Note in the Rare # paragraph - For Scraps, you Crew may not hire or have in play more of this model than the number listed with the Rare characteristic. (Bold is for emphasis). So for scraps the most Mature Nephalim you can have in play is 2, so you will have to wait for one to die before you evolve the Young Nephalim into a Mature Nephalim.

The thing to understand is each of the guild crews is tooled to go up against a particular foe. So lady j is very anti-undead, Sonnia is anti-arcanist, and Perdita is anti-neverborn. So if you want to look at balances you need to look at the themes of each box and decide how you want to balance out. As a recent "victim" of the draw the complete deck into hand with a 4 mosquito, 2 Hog Whisperer, Warpig 25SS list, I must say this was rather disheartening, even when I ran a mostly construct list with Rasputina. Turn 1, during all my activations, he just kept sacraficing one mosquito to another generating cards until all my activations were over, then proceeded to draw his entire deck. Then using the mosquitos to basically pull themselves across the board (using the combination of Summon and the fact that an All action can still be done if you are slowed), "moved" his 4 mosquitos across the board, then "moved" them right next to Rasputina, then had one attack with a red-joker, to which rasputina flipped, cheated and soulstoned to stay alive. Have a second mosquito repeat with a 13 and rasputina doing the same. Then using the other two sacraficed them away and moved, them back to the otherside of the board. Round 2 and 3 were the same until Rasputina died, having run out of soulstones. So we meta-gamed a bit more and my only solution to this is to run with an all construct list, but even then with a Warpig with a stacked deck (by discarding all but the best, and spending the first portion of the turn drawing up the deck) he can kill most anything. If he can play the discard pile as only three cards (red joker and two 13's) card there is a 2/3 chance the attack is a 13, a 50/50 chance of the damage being red joker, and if so a warpig can do 12 points of damage in a single hit. So I do hope there is a fix for this card draw engine, as it does make for very long and one sided battle.

After seeing the terrain that was built for Wombat I how it fits on a 3x3 table I would have to revise pretty much everything I said earlier. So now I quote and edit with updated opinions. But as stated earlier, I think the best method would be to put them up on ebay and if you include some transport for the items include that as well in the price.

Well I know I can be way off on the cost of doing stuff so if and when you do make terrain, I would say put it up on ebay and that would be the best way to gauge price of what people are willing to pay. Of course, please pm when you do. I saw Wombats stuff today and was very impressed. Greyseer

For a set I would probably pay between $60-100 for a set depending on what it would include. A set would need: 3x3 peice of felt (green, tan, or gray depending on the set) Enough terrain to meet the recommended 2/sq ft. Terrain being a mix of Area Terrain and Terrain Elements (3 T.E. = 1 A.T.) So approximately 15-18 peices. So I could see paying $60 for a set that included the following: Tan Felt, 6 Card-stock western buildings, 6 CDs of tall grass, 3CDs of Foam Hills, 3 Fences approximately 6" long each, 3 rocks on 50mm bases, 3 dead trees on 50mm bases. So I could see paying $80 for a set that included the following Green Felt, 12 Trees on 50mm bases, 4 CDs of rough terrain, 3 ruined walls approximately 6" long, 4 CD Foam Hills, 4 Sheds. or Green Felt, 12 Dead Trees on 50mm bases, 4 CDs with graves on them, 6 short walls approximately 6" long, 3 short hedges 6" long, 4 sheds, 2 CD foam hills. So I could see paying $100 for a set that included the following Grey Felt, 4 Victorian Style one or two-story buildings, 4 Steampunk Style one or two-story buildings, 4 CDs of rubble and scrap, 6 short walls approximately 6" long, 2 CD Foam Hills, 1 centerpeice (a well or a fountainor a statue) on a 50mm base. So those would be my ideas and prices I could see paying for them.

Do a search on ebay for Lego Crystals, they make em in all sorts of colors. Or, since they are a commonly lost item, see if you can order them directly from lego.com (its blocked from work but you might be able to see if they are sold there).
