  2. Malifaux night will be on again on Wednesday, 7/5/14. Last week had had a lot of people starting up with our slowgrow league, so if you are looking for a game, there will be people looking to use their new crews. Demos will also be available, and if you are interested in the slowgrow, you are still able to join in.
  3. Wednesday night is Malifaux night again, and the start of our slowgrow as well! If you are interested in a game, come along!
  4. A Slowgrow league will be starting at Games Cube next week, with all welcome. Full details are below, and the Facebook event can also be located at: https://www.facebook.com/events/1434462500133984/?fref=ts This slow grow will give players 13 weeks to build a crew from start to finish, encouraging painting, playing games, and participating in in-store events. Progress for everyone’s crews and games will be tracked as the slow grow continues so that everyone can see how they are advancing compared to everyone else. Faction dominance for games played and points earned will also be tracked, so that players can see how their nominated faction is performing in the group. The end result will hopefully be several players with large painted model pools to choose from, which have had enough time to slowly build and therefore understand their crew. Important dates: Confirmed: 30/4/14 – Start of the slow grow. Games played with your nominated force count towards points as detailed below. 1/6/14 – Tournament Planned: 22/6/14 – Painting Day 20/7/14 – Tournament 30/7/14 – End of slow grow. This is the final day to earn points. Total points will be calculated each Wednesday night and updated scores posted on the Game Cube Miniatures page. When starting the slow grow, players will nominate the Master they will be using, as well as their Faction. Some Masters will have a choice between two different factions (eg. Ten Thunders and The Guild), in which case they should nominate which Faction they are earning points for in the slow grow. This will not influence which models can be collected during the slow grow, our which Faction they can declare to be using from game to game, but shows which faction they want to earn points overall for as the games progress. Scoring points for games played: Entrants may earn points from their first two games of the week in store against other entrants. Wins earn 3 points, draws earn 2 points, losses earn 1 point. There will be other ways to earn points during the slow grow, which will be explained later. While more than two games can be played, only the first two games played will count. Only games played in store will count. Bonus Points are able to be earned during the Slow Grow. These are detailed below, and are earned in addition to points earned normally from games: Local Recruitment: When purchasing your crew box from The Games Cube – 8 points, Max. 8 points Further crew boxes purchased will not count towards points. For each ten additional stones worth of models purchased from The Games Cube to suit your nominated Master – 2 points, Max. 12 points (Does not need to be purchased in blocks of 10 to count. Score will be recalculated each week. Therefore, if you purchase 11 stones one week, you have 2 points. If you purchase 19 stones of models later on, you have purchased a total of 30 points, and the final score will be 6 points earned at that point.) Upgrades do not count towards point cost for these scores “I made it myself”: 2 points for every ten stones worth of models you end the slow grow with. Max. 20 points. (Painted is minimum three colours, undercoat is not a colour) 2 points for a set of five scheme markers made and painted (if necessary) by the entrant) “That was something special”: Play a game using a Henchman as the Leader – 2 points 2 points extra if all models in the crew are fully painted Play a 70SS game – 2 points 2 points extra if all models in the crew are fully painted Play a game using no upgrades – 2 points Play 3 x story encounters – 3 points Beat an opponent who has previously beaten you – 2 point Beat an opponent 10-0 – 2 points Play 24 games (Tournament games can be included in this total) – 5 points Play each scheme and strategy at least once – 5 points Questions that will be asked: Avatars count as their upgrade cost for the stone total purchased in store. No proxies unless the model does not exist. Conversions allowed, depending on Wyrd’s tournament conversion rules. Special event points: For both tournaments: 2 points for attending All games played count as double points for your slow grow score Painting day: 2 points for attending 5 points if at least ten stones worth of models (Masters will count as 5 for this purpose) are painted in store from start (Already assembled and undercoated is OK) to finish (Including basing).

  18. Thanks guys! Sorry for the late reply. I've been busy lately. Viruk, the wood is airbrushed p3 Cryx bane base over a white undercoat. Then dry brushed Cryx bane highlight, then thrall flesh, then GW underhive ash. There are some darker pieces of wood which are painted Cryx bane base over that, dry brushed GW Karak stone, then washed with agrax earth shade. Doc T, there are m2e cards available in the arsenal boxes, probably the newer plastics as well. The orange is half Macharius solar orange and half wild rider red. Sunburst yellow was added for highlights, then VMC light yellow. VMC chocolate brown was added to the base colour for the shades, the oxford blue and German camo black brown

  21. Malifaux night is on again tomorrow for anyone interested and near Parramatta.
  22. Hi Everyone!I thought I should post up some photos of these here, as I haven't posted photos in a long time, even though I'm still painting. This is a Rail Crew I finished last week for Malifaux. It's just the base crew, but I'm pretty pleased with the level I got them finished to in the speed I did. Because there are a fair few images, I'm going to post one of each of the models, and if you want to see different angles etc, they are on my blog (http://tureliopt.blogspot.com.au/2014/01/things-get-painted-malifaux-rail-crew.html). I'll also include CMON links below in case anyone would like to vote on them (In which case, thank you!)
