Just got my first order from Wyrd in. Got the girlfriend's Golem, and the Convict Gunslinger, Marcus and the Cerebus cat. The Gunslinger is awesome, he may be used in my Rotten Harvest entry. Now I'm just waiting on cash from a few more peeps before I place the next order which currently consists of: 1x Apparitions 1x Witch Hunters 1x Ortegas 4x The Law 3x Mad Hatter 3x Undertaker 1x Neverborn 1x Injun Joss 1x Ramos 1x Arachnid Swarm With any luck I'll be able to place this order by Monday next week. Couple guys are bringing me cash on Sunday. Just over $400 worth of stuff. We'll have a nice following of Wyrd pretty quick. I've also set up a painting contest so that once the models arrive, people can get cracking and get it painted.

The other 2 miniatures released at GenCon that is? According to the front page there were 4 minis, but I can't seem to remember what the other 2 releases were. Flame bases maybe?

I wathed a demo for a bit at GenCon, but wasn't really a fan of the models. I did just buy Samiel and Celia as I had never seen Celia painted until the other night, and I love it. Samiel was the first one I actually liked, while Celia was the first must have.

I'd be happy to help as well. I'm on the web quite a bit throughout the day checking on news in the industry and checking out new games and releases. It's horrible. I fully admit to downloading it, and I want my bandwidth back. Horrible, horrible movie. The Outpost is a good Nazi/Zombie flick, really enjoyed that.

Hmm..looks like it'll be mail order, as the owenr isn't too convinced. I figured it'd be a fight, but even with staff members asking about it it's a no go for now. He wants to wait and see if I can build a steady crowd for it first.

My group dropped Confrontation back when the original announcement of the switch to PPP was made. They'd been trickling off before that, but the announcement was the final nail in the coffin. Most of that crew aren't really around anymore. It's sad, especially considering how much I own. Of course I haven't really stopped buying it when I can get it for cheap.

Just had some friends over and they will be nabbing The Law (her) and Witch Hunters (him) boxes. She also liked the Steampunk stuff, but will wait and see what the big guy looks like. They're in. And I'm pretty sure I'll have at least 2 more when I show off stuff at the LGS tomorrow. With any luck our group will get in on the playtesting and we'll have a good chunk of models covered. I'm not sure what kind of foothold you guys had into Canada before GenCon, but it's coming. And with any luck we should be able to convince the owner to stock it. I am going to try and generate an order through the LGS to convince him to stock it. If that doesn't work it'll be through the online shop. He's going to place an Infinity order through Corvus Belli this week, but if I can convince him to go through Warpath games, I can get him to tack Wyrd stuff into the order. Here's hoping.

So I read elsewhere that Rasputina will have some common troops called Frost Biters. Are these the cat creature that comes with Rasputina in the same way that Lilith comes with the young Nephilim and has the 3-pack of Nephilim? My girlfriend wants more of the little cats. She is a crazy cat lady. Thankfully we only have 2 cats of our own.

Thanks for the warm reception. I started assembling my box sets last night, and sent a PM off to Eric about the Beta, so hopefully that works out. Printed out some pics of the box sets to take over to the LGS this weekend and see about drumming up some more interest. And I have to swing by there and talk to the owner.

So I was at GenCon for my first time, meeting up with all the old timers from the Confrontation forums. And the big thing this year was Wyrd. Almost every one of us, most of us from the TableTop Gamers group (the red & black shirts demoing Infinity and Alkemy in room 201), came away with some Wyrd minis. I't pretty much the new thing in the group. Anyways, I picked up the Ortegas box and Lilith and the Nephilim as well as some base inserts and Rasputina for the girlfriend. We're really looking forward to more and especially the game. I talked with Nathan about distribution into Canada, and Eric about playtesting. Hopefully I can get in on that. My group will be placing an order as soon as I and my wallet recover from GenCon. I didn't have time to get a demo in, but I was sold on the figures themselves, and am definately looking forward to more. Brett
