Could someone refresh my memory? Are swords okay for vampires? Is it only armor that we take offense to around here?

Hi
-
Jérémie's here! Welcome to Wyrd!
-
Really well done. Very striking!
-
Viral zombies and photographing a movie with a camcorder. Breaking new ground there. Oh! Wait...
-
Maybe I'm missing something, but does anyone know how you order in the US?
- Thanks

I like the last one. She would make a great Mech mechanic.

Congrats on the wins!

Maybe a monitor thing. No teal in the model, and I don't see that on my monitor (the blue _is_ a bit lighter in the flame, but still pure blue as far as I can tell). Please don't apologize, though, I very happy to have the input.
If I could impose further... How would you deal with the skirt? I don't see how to shade the forward-facing part, as there is a fire right in front of it.
I wanted to keep a monochromatic color scheme (I don't really know why, just seemed appropriate somehow), but there were a couple of suggestions to change the color of the fire. What do you think?
Thanks!

@moavoamoatu Thanks for the suggestions.
@waghorn41 Excellent suggestion, I definitely see what you are saying.
@Brushmistress Please, don't let the IP theme make any difference to your suggestions, I would just like to have the best painted miniature that I can. I don't understand about the teal, why teal? I was burnt in a couple of other attempts at OSL when I made the back of the miniature very dark, so now I'm a bit gun-shy, but I definitely see what you are saying there.
@All Thanks for the suggestions, I think that they are all good. Thank you for taking the time!

Happy Birthday!

This I would like to see painted.
It would seem that your wish has been granted.

Thanks for the input so far.
@moavoamoatu I don't have your email address (please IM it to my, if you would like), so I put a really big image on my site for the time being (it will disappear the next time I update my 2008 miniatures).
Thanks!

Hi,
I wasn't too pleased with my Rasputina from Iron Painter 5, round 2, and would like to try to go back to it. If anyone wants to offer suggestions, I would appreciate it. To save you from having to find her in the gallery, here she is:
Thanks!

This is somewhat embarrassing to post, but...
This is the first miniature that I painted. I'm no longer sure of the date that I painted this, probably some time in the late 1980's. I had a very limited understanding of highlighting and shading then . The base was added a number of years after painting the miniature.
I believe that my current work is somewhat better.

I have the same problem with names on-line. Thank you. I think that I found a reasonable recipe for grimy metal (which I discovered on my IP5R1 entry). The image on the announcement was rescaled, there is a better one on my site: Chef, in case you are interested.
Thanks again.

Congratulations!

Thryth your chief was very nice : I loved it.
That's very kind of you to say (the picture in the announcement was actually scaled down, and does not look too great, I have to update my website with a better image). Your entry is fantastic, BTW. Nice idea, great implementation.
The point of my message was that you were in the category above commended.
-
Congrats on getting commended, that's nothing to be ashamed of...
For what it's worth, Moavoamoatu was "Highly Commended," which is even better .
-
Very nice work. Exceptionally smooth.
