  1. I saw the greens for those a while back I think, and was not to impressed, but painted up they are quite nice. Cowboy minis are a lot of fun to paint, and look really cool, these look like no exception. I just wish I had a good reason to paint them.
  2. Very nice indeed. Alomost enough to push me of the "go to reapercon or not" fence.
  3. Sweet more Waggamaephs. They are one of the few prebased mini I actually own. I mean how can you resist. I really need to get the one I have painted one of these days. You pointed out crunch waffle and I think they are a great example. They are putting out some very cool looking minis, but the fact is I probably will never bother with them becuse of the bases. Incidentily I remembered 2 more prebased minis I have bought, and I have actually painted both of those. I guess in the end a prebased mini has to bring a lot to the table to help me get over the base, but it is not imposable
  4. Hate em. The number of easily avalible quality plastic bases out there have really made the brocolli base obsolete. But it seems to be one of those old school mini conventions that refuses to die. I can count the number of attached base minis I have bought on 2 fingers, and the number I have actually painted on zero. I don't mind a sculpted base that fits the theme of the mini, but at least make it a seperate piece so that I can decide if I wnat to use it or not. Unless I need a perticular base for gaming purposes amost all my models get put on to the round premium style bases nowadays.
  5. I always rather liked the exo suits from Void, but mayebe thats just me. I'm not so big on these guys tough, they are ok, but not really my taste. I do like baby stryker though and will be getting him at some point.
  6. I have always called it wierd. It was the only way that makes sense when you look at some of the minis.
  7. I general I prefer fantasy. But I prefer sub genres or altered setting fantasy to tradtional high fantasy. Privateer Press, Rahkham, Hasslefree, Wargods and Celtos for exapmle all have stuff that I really dig. I do the ocasional sci fi work, but it usually takes a reason (i.e. a contest), and I have to really like the model (i.e. usually kev whites stuff). I think a part of this is there don't seem t be as many people putting out nice original sci fi stuff as fantasy. I also have begun doing the ocasional historical mini. I prefer non military subjets usually.
  8. Very interesting. Not the best stuff they have put out, but pretty cool none the less. I so need to place an order from these guys, they have some awsome models that I really like, but that shipping charge and wait time is killer. I wish they had a US distributer. Until then I'll have to wait till my want list is long enough to justify the order (it's gettiing close).
  9. I finished this Guy up recently. He is a neat but simple little mini. He was a quick little job that I was trying some new stuff on. I tried out a whole new way of doing skin. I was also attempting get good contrast both on the skin and on the other colors, as that is something I an often weak on. Just wanted to get a few thoughts.
  10. Ooooo, I like her a lot. Some of my favorite of your work. I could definiutly see myself picking her up when she becomes available.
  11. I have always loved this mini, it's one of the best old school wood elves. I have had one primed and sitting around for ages, but I'll probably never paint it. I'm looking forward to seeing progress on yours though.
