  1. You should be. I am too. Come to think of it, I'm nit-picky about everything. Not only would she fall, she appears to be falling right now. I don't actually see a saddle at all. And if it's supposed to be medieval, I'm pretty sure they didn't have side-saddles in the Middle Ages. They are a Victorian invention.
  2. The mechanic is pretty cool. The others are nice and easily modifyable too. I like the bases. Too bad they are across the ocean.
  3. Well, that's tough to answer. I think I'll go with I enjoy having a bit of a change. However, I might like modern if anyone was making modern pieces like mine. The only thing out there is men in suits. Thugz comes close, but I think they are all carrying guns. No one I know of is producing a road crew or construction workers or park rangers etc.
  4. Well, my personal quirk if you will, is to put something modern world into the mini and paint it in a way no one else will. Some examples (all in my CMON gallery): Elmore Amazon with Girl Scouts emblem on her shield CMON contest Amazon with hard-hat, "road work ahead" sign and holding stop sign. CMON contest Valkyrie with surfboard and Baywatch bikini and torpedo bouie. Space marine Dallas Cowboy and Washington Redskin. Klocke assassin as skater-dude. Void Commander X as Dallas Cowboy Cheerleader. Frankly I was quite surprised I didn't get lots of people guessing the cheer-leader was mine in the CCV contest. Maybe I'm not famous enough yet.
  5. Just too many questions so I'll generally answer the topic title: I like proportion. I like clean minis. I like non-violent minis. I dislike weapons that are grotesquely oversized. I dislike tons of filigree and useless bits. I dislike depictions of disembowlment/severed heads/gore. Last in-production minis I bought were I-Kore (now Urban Mammoth) archangels: beautiful, curvy, sexy women in sci-fy flying suits. Just have to figure out what to use to replace their oversized guns.
  6. I'm pretty sure setting someone on fire, no matter how mean he was in high school, is illegal. :argh:
  7. arms don't seem to be quite in the right place either. And with the name of Romania's "Vlad the Impailer" I'd have given him a spear. (or made him a vampire as VT was one of Stoker's inspirations for Dracula)
  8. Clubbing what? I hope not seals. Actually, sounds more like score for the bouncer. :thumb:
  9. I have to admit, my inability to get onto CMON is why I came over here. Of course, I think I was one of the first to sign up here, I just had never gotten around to checking out these forums. To be honest I find the gray/black screens hard to look at. Now to find an avatar....
  10. I went to college in upstate New York. One winter the county officially closed the roads due to a blizzard but the college still refused to close. They finally gave in when the County threatened to fine them for not letting their employees go home. Some students who lived off campus ended up being forced to sleep in classrooms because they couldn't get home. I think it was the first time the school closed for snow in over 20 years.
  11. Another reason I can think people would keep it secret is they don't want judges getting bored with it. It's possible judges would overlook one they had been seeing for months online. Of course the oposite may be true. They may be anxious to see in person the piece they've seen pics of in advance. I don't know which is the more likely.
  12. Searched around. It's called Fillmore Here's disney's site, but it says on ABC saturday mornings: http://psc.disney.go.com/abcnetworks/toondisney/shows/fillmore/ Another well-written one is Recess http://psc.disney.go.com/abcnetworks/toondisney/shows/recess/index.html
  13. Been a while since I watched saturday morning cartoons, but I think there's still one on called "safety patrol" or something like, which is pretty good. It is about a little elementary school kid who's like a hall monitor, but it plays like the old Dragnet series. So not all Sat am cartoons are bad.
