  1. *Wargame Vault / DriveThru Card Printing Operations Suspended*

Our operations facility that prints our cards, posters, and GM Screen inserts has been affected by a municipal order that all non-essential businesses must close for the next 30 days, possibly longer.

The soonest we can accept new orders for printed cards, posters and GM Screens will be April 20th.

There was almost no notice provided to businesses for the closure order. Our operations are trying to get all orders currently in process finished, but some orders recently placed may not finish production by the close-of-business Monday, March 23rd mandated shutdown.

Our publisher service and customer service teams will be working with publishers and customers on all affected orders and will notify anyone affected by Tuesday or Wednesday of this coming week.

We will be making all printed card format options private. When we resume operations, we will automatically reactivate for sale the same titles we will be deactivating to return things to where they were. (Although there are a host of print-n-play options you can still purchase.)

We certainly apologize for this unavoidable inconvenience. We will post updates as they become available.

A Google search for “Plastic injection molding in USA” returns numerous results. The USA certainly has the companies that could produce these products. There is one reason, and one reason only that they outsource to China: Its cheap. That’s it, nothing more. I hope the President stays tough with China, or will continue to see our manufacturing outsourced there. They undercut us every chance they get.  Maybe if there are huge tariffs levied on Wyrd products from China, they would get smart and manufacture their products in their own country. For comparison, GW and Warlord are UK companies, and they manufacture in their own country. I respect them for that. I’d gladly pay a few more dollars a box if Wyrd made their products here, and I think everyone else would too. Heck, thousands of people pay sometimes almost $50 USD for one single Warhammer character model, why wouldn’t anyone else spend a bit more for their Malifaux models?

Sorry, but I addressed this the other day elsewhere as well.

GW, and several other companies people keep touting as doing it in their backyard, actually do produce tooling, plastic, packaging, printing - etc, out of China as well. Mostly scenery and larger kits, but it certainly isn't all UK all the time. I know because I've been in the factory while the tools are cut, the product made, and boxes and boxes of product sitting to be sent along. Not a big deal in the least, but certainly not the '100%' that people like to tout.

We also work out of China, Thailand, South Korea and right here in the backyard, 'Murica!'. Of course we could be a bit obtuse about it and pull one over on folks with 'Designed in America' or 'Assembled in America' but all that means is that its come from some other place and 'put together'. Hell, there are another half dozen ways to swing that cat.

I am with retnab on this one. The local gaming store that I would order any Malifaux through has been backed up and has not received any orders from Lion Rampant. The owner is getting close to just cancelling his order and bailing on Malifaux in general, because of how difficult it has been to get 3E stuff in when people order it. I have seen people excited about the game from demos, only to wait 2 months and then cancel their order, moving onto another game.

Yes, I know I can buy from Meeplemart (and went there on the weekend to pick up some random older stuff), but without a gaming store with playspace supporting it, the models become next to useless. You need space to play, and if the game isnt bringing in money for the store, it becomes hard to keep that space available for us, and not give it to other games.

I suggest you have him go straight to Lion Rampant then and ask them WTF or find out if there are other issues. Lion Rampant gets monthly orders - they could stand to order more - but that's on them. They also have just been bought out by another company and ownership has changed up and while things aren't supposed to change, things do.

Not the area for is as this is for Black Friday but as people are damned determined to find any and all place to holler about it .... we've had stock come in, and go out, several times. If your store didn't get them, that certainly isn't on us, and yes, we have heard from other places (not necessarily in Canada) where larger stores have pulled 'rank' so to speak and gotten their full quotas or more and others were left without. We can't do diddly about that as frankly, we don't control the distributors. To say that we've never sent anything out is frankly getting a bit old - we have - several times - if folks look around you can find them in the damnedest of places, even if it didn't happen to get to, or stay, in your particular corner. I certainly wish otherwise, but I'm also not swimming in them like ol' Scrooge McDuck in the back warehouse for the fun of it.

In the mean time, Waldos get added to orders of $150 and above as stated on the checkout that asks you to click it that you understood before checkout in red letters though I understand it can be missed (sadly we're all accustomed to just clicking boxes to get to where we want as its a standard thing these days). If you have any customer service issues, please take them up through there and the front office will endeavor to sort you as best as possible.

    Thanks!

Aside from the Wild Ones (which may or may not become their own thing according to a friend who excitedly put on his tinfoil conspiracy hat), will the other alt models come with their 3E cards (Emeline with the Emeline card, etc)?

If its on that list, it has an updated M3E card.
