Arg my 'Gambit Meets David Copperfield' Fated is all wiblly wobily and needs some reworking.. So Acting Value is the + I get and the Rank is the level..? Are they the same thing..? Also Nobody likes idea of attacking with poker cards. What kinda stats would they have? I'm kinda hellbent on having cards as a thrown weapon as my only attack really. Also you want to wait till your second stats at end of 'tarot reading' to add the stats you'll focus on yes..?

Have you considered having the trait be magical and starting as a Dabbler or Mage from Into the Steam?  Magic might be the way to go with your cards.  As a Dabbler you could have your Grimoire be a deck of cards or a single card you always carry.  You could then have a range magic attack and have as part of its description be that you have to throw cards to activate *rather than chant a spell, summon a fireball or anything like that*. 

If you go with mage you could have have it as your starting manifested power.  Per the rules for Manifested Powers in Into the Steam, page 193, you could talk to your Fatemaster about using Throwing and Sorcery or Grace and Sorcery rather than Intelligence and Sorcery like normal range spells would be.

For both I would consider the Specialized Skill Talent to get what ever suit you need as quick as possible so you don't have to worry about having the right suit for your spell *it is a General talent so often can be your second talent if you stick to one pursuit*

Acting Value is the stats that make up the test.  So shooting a pistol you would add your grace and pistol and what ever value that makes is your Acting Value.  So if I have a Grace of +1 and Pistol 2, I have an Acting Value of 3.
