Hello from small town Iowa

I'm a writer, actor and avid gamer currently finishing (at long, long last) my BA at Cornell College in beautiful Mount Vernon Iowa. I'm a part of the campus gaming club and a recent convert to Malifaux. Right now I'm getting as much gaming in as I can before the school year starts, so if anyone plays in the area I would love to hear from you.

 

I think I'll leave it at that, brevity being the soul of wit and all.

I agree, Mount Vernon is beautiful, I'm sure it is gorgeous with the fall colors. I know there are some people who play in Cedar Rapids, or at least one time did at Tempest Games. There might be a few in Iowa City at Critical Hit Games.

I actually ordered the rulebook from Tempest, apparently the community there died out around the edition change. I always forget that Critical Hit exists, I'll give them a shot!

And if I ever find myself in Des Moines, you bet I'll stop in. Mayhem Comics, is it?

Yep, there is a game room next door to it and it has tons of space. They carry the stuff to play Malifaux, but no models. For now. I also heard of a couple of demos being hosted at the hobby/game store in Sycamore Mall in Iowa City.
