Hello. I'm currently the president of an association whose goal is to gather Malifaux French-speaking players (http://www.malifaux-soulstone-union.com/ ). We had the wonderful opportunity to take part in the proof-reading of the files for the translation at the beginning of September 2015. Eversince, we have done all we could to spread the news and bring as many people as possible to the game. We took part in several events, organised many demo games, took some contacts. We managed to have several articles published in different fan-made publications, and even in Ravage (the French original edition of Ravage Magasine, the last independant French magasine published in France). We were quite optimistic as to the results of our efforts, and the results proved better than anticipated, we had built some bonds with potential gamers, shops and even a potential importer. But since January, we haven't had ANY news . At all. We were given the name of the Spanish company which was supposed to take care of the publishing, but we didn't get any answer, in spite of our numerous mails. We didn't even get an answer to our phone calls (maybe we didn't get a good timing : the only person who answered us neither spoke French nor even English.) So, rumors naturally came up, ranging from "Distribution starting next week" to "They gave up on the project". And things are starting to go in the wrong direction. Some new games came up, some others have had new versions published (some of them directly in English, Spanish, French and German at the same time, or within a very short time span), and many gamers are heading in their direction instead of Malifaux's. Even the shops are starting to wonder about the game, because such a lack of communication doesn't bid well for the future of its publishing. We do know that Wyrd isn't directly involved in the translations, but we DO NEED to have informations, so we can offer our (growing) community something more acurate and solid than rumors, because this will, at the end of the day, damage the reputation of the game in French-speaking countries.

Same scale I was really hopping something smaller (Epic sized), there is too few good games with this scale, and so many possibilities.

The french player base is not that big, there is a few players, some of them trying to make the game more popular ( http://www.malifaux-soulstone-union.com) but when running démo games, 2 times on 3 games you hear "This is a great game, I'll give it a try, ... as soon as there will be a french translation." Most european players play in their own language, or in english. Most of the french players play in french, or play something else (you can call us lazy, i'll agree with that). Malifaux is great, with lots of qualities, and the game deserve to be among the most played game here (well, personnal opinion maybe, but...) and this translation is the only way for that. (Sorry for my english )

I am not that good in english, so it could be a misunderstanding of the wording, but I didn't see that in the rulebook or the forum, and i need a clarification here. If a spell state "All friendly models within X", is the caster affected ? He is after all a friendly model, and is within range, but remembering that casters are unnafected by their own pulse and aura, I want to be sure. For exemple, the Ashes and Dust Sacrifice the Weak: Sacrifice a friendly model within 3". All friendly models within 3" of that model make a Healing Flip. Does the Ashes and Dust also make an healing flip ? Thanks.
