Story Encounter: Werewolf Curse

Recommended Posts

(This is based on a similar Story Encounter I wrote for the 2012 Halloween story encounter contest for v1.5)

Setup
Before deployment, each player secretly notes one enemy non-Leader model to be Cursed. This cannot be the enemy model with the highest Soulstone cost unless there are multiple models that tie for the highest Soulstone cost.

Special
Any time before Turn Four, a Leader model can take a (1) Interact action to render one target friendly model Cured. Each Leader can take this action only once per encounter. Cured cannot be removed by any effect.

At the beginning of Turn Four, each player reveals the enemy model they chose to be Cursed. For each player, if the enemy model you chose to be Cursed is still in play and not Cured, summon a friendly Werewolf model into base contact with the enemy Cursed model, then sacrifice the enemy Cursed model.

The Werewolf does not gain Slow from being summoned. The Werewolf is treated as a 40mm Blessed of December, without the Beast characteristic.

Victory
At the end of Turn Two and Turn Three, a Crew earns 1 VP if it killed or sacrificed two or more enemy models during that Turn.

At the end of Turn Four and later, a Crew earns 1 VP if a friendly Werewolf model kills one or more enemy models during that Turn.

At the end of every Turn after the first, if a player has no models in play (buried models are not considered “in play”)  then her opponent earns 1 VP. A player may not earn more than 1 VP from this Strategy per turn.
