Demonthresis
Is there a good community at Hobbytown? I thought they were trying to push minis gaming more and more out the door.
Arli
The local gaming group is pretty strong. Really GW oriented (40K) mostly. There is some interest in M2E. The Hobbytown staff has improved somewhat with regard to the gaming offered.
Demonthresis
Are they still charging for the use of their tables? I used to go up to Hobbytown pretty frequently to buy stuff and I even played my first game of Malifaux there. However, they keep replacing their minis stock with non minis (the latest being replacing the Warmachine wall with Boy Scouts uniforms). Arli
Yea, that is what they are doing. They are actually going to move to a smaller location in a few months to. Still charging for tables right now though.
Demonthresis
That's a shame, where is this new location? Technically Hobbytown is my second closest store, right behind Dream Wizards (a wretched hive of scum and villainy) so I usually end up driving to Glen Burnie for Dropzone or Games & Stuff. Arli
The new location will be beside the Weis near the 340/Rt15 exit. Behind the CVS Pharmacy. There is a ledo's pizza in the parking lot as well. The new location will be much smaller with no race track. There will be approximately 6 gaming tables (we are told). Not sure if we will have to pay for the tables there due to the smaller location. I do know that those tables will be in the open area of the store, not in a back room.
