Hunpo Assault and shooting while engaged

Yan Lo's Hunpo Assault trigger states that he makes a Khakkhara Strike and a Spirit Barrage Strike on each enemy within 2".

Seems a bit strange that he can use the Spirit Barrage (which is ranged) against enemies within his melee range.

The trigger does not explicitly state that he can do this, but I assume he can.

aHoffman's Do Not Go Softly states that he is able to make ranged strikes while engaged in melee. Why is Yan Lo not explicitly given Gunfighter during this attack?

An oversight? I personally don't see the problem with the ranged attacks being made, because it explicitly states that they are made against every enemy within 2". Specific overruling generic, in my mind.

Okay, so card overrules rules manuals.

But say you use it on two enemy models within your melee of 2".

Do you randomize and maybe hit yourself.?

It is still a ranged attack as it is not gunfighter....

Yeah as others have stated, the weapon always has gun fighter, so feel free to use it in melee as much as you like...
