FoeRender
yeah the guild crew is a nice refreshing scheme for those models .
Mako
You've definitely made it your own! Moonlight is a little bit grey blue, so maybe try adding a little ice blue into your midtones and highlighting mixes when you do the top section, and a tiny bit of brown to the midtones and shadows on the bottom areas. Something to give you a grade of brightness across the whole model so the top is lit and the feet/whatever onryo have in a bit of shadow. That's just a guess though, I've not tried it before so it might not work!

Had a busy few weeks with courses birthdays fixin ip the house and decorating. Heres my WIP Kirai. She needs a bit of tidying with the shading and the severed head and shears needs some highlighting Apart from that im fairly pleased wiyh how she has turned out so far. As always c&cs are always aprichiated. Cheers. Underdog
underdog6750
Just noticed how bad the quality is on the pics i just uploaded. Appolagies. Ill take some tomorow in natural light. God knows where those patches of green came from. There not on the model??
underdog6750
Some new photos. Appolagies for the lack of natural light. There isnt much i can do about the weather lol. Hope you enjoy. Next up will be my shikome. Does anyone know an effective way of painting leathery wings? It will be a first for myself. Guild Monkee
Having seen them in the flesh last night, those pictures really don't do your models justice. The purple gaki especially drew my eye from across the table.
underdog6750
Cheers. The light has been terrible recently when ive had a chance to take the pics plus im using the camera on my phone. It is a shame you cant see as much detail as im really proud of the blood in the water effect on kirais base Also got some models arriving today so will get them assembled hopefully for some gaming on sunday
FoeRender
nice the bases are super cool .
underdog6750
@foerender thanks very much. As soon as i can get some better lighting ill get a photo of kirais base which im very proud of
underdog6750
Still not much better on the light situation. The bases turn out really dark (stupid energy saving bulbs) Anybody have any suggestions on how to get better light exposure?? Heres another few pics any ways;
Evilbleachman
I reaaaaaally like your Sonia crew. Simple color scheme and works really well too. It is a real contrast to my usual color schemes, but I do enjoy stuff like this as well. Good job!
underdog6750
@evilbleachman thanks. I need to sort some lighting out and get some decent kirai pics up as a lot of the detail is missing. Next up will be the avatar of vengence
underdog6750
So its been a while since ive posted any models. Ive decided to give NMM a go. Its my first atempt and feel it hasnt gone too wrong? However i know my painting is far from award winning i feel i have been making some slow progress with painting. Here is my WIP of a female guild guard. Im going for a colour scheme simular to my old uniform (queens guards) With an atempt at NMM (non metalic metal incase some of you havnt heard the term before) Some feed back would be much apprichiated Underdog
Evilbleachman
Pretty cool job on the NNM part. Reminds me I wanted to practice that sometime as well... Though at the moment I am not really into too much layering, as I just don't have the time (too many models to paint...). Can't wait to see more! underdog6750
Here is a WIP of my puni zombie for kirai. He has been since finished but am waiting to borrow guildmonkees light box again. It took a total of 3 [hours to paint this guy including drying times for washes etc and pretty pleased with the results. Im also happy with the flesh tones and hair ATTACH=CONFIG]10881[/ATTACH]
