Rule Book 1

Are they reprinting Rule Book 1? I know the rules are in the mini-rulebook but that has no fluf and stuff in it.

Looking on Ebay its hard to get the original rulebook. Is Rising Powers and Twisting Fates the only 2 books you need now? Will they have the original stats in?

Rising Powers and Twisting Fates don't have the stats for any of the book 1 mini's. The rules manual also covers the use of henchmen so up until you plan on running avatars the only required book is the rules manual.

A reprinting of book 1 is something that's brought up fairly regularly but as far as I can re-call there has been no official word on whether that's likely to happen,

Some of the fluff is worth a read though and it's always nice to have an idea of what a minion is capable of before spending your hard earned cash on them (although pull my finger mitigates that slightly)

Knowing what they do before purchasing is a big thing as otherwise you end up buying a model that you may like but on the table its not so great... leaving that stale taste in your mouth... and guts.

This is more so with the bigger, more expensive models.

The majority of stats are on the cards that are available for download from the resources section of malifaux.com

Keep an eye on Ebay and the like. I managed to get original book 1 for $20 about 2 weeks ago off ebay. It was brand new and unused. Got lucky but it is your best bet. I missed the original book as I was a late convert.

Sure all the stats are on the site now but nothing beats holding the original in your hands and reading all the fluff.

I wouldn't hold my breath for a reprint.

One thing to note is that as far as I can tell there are 1 or 2 models missing from each faction in the updated cards, but these are usually limited to the totems.

There are also a few posts on BarterTown that say they have book 1
