Mr. Bigglesworth
With release date unknown I was curious if anyone found an acceptable proxy model for the pale rider? Thanks
Chucklemonkey
Black Scorpion have a few, of which this is probably my favourite http://www.blackscorpionminiatures.com/product_info.php?cPath=28&products_id=
Calmdown
He was listed on May releases on that US shop that always has prerelease dates early, earlier today. So I think youll see him in May!
Mr. Bigglesworth
@ Calm thanks, didn't notice may releases great to know. I might run him in an April event so if can find a viable proxy i would like to orser by end of month to paint in time. @ Chuckle thanks, not a big fan of model, horse muzzle is a bit dog like. I wish i was a good modeler where I could alter it.
Chucklemonkey
Yeah I do know what you mean. I have found that good Western Style Models (Subjective I know but coming from GW, Warmachine, Malifaux viewpoint) are pretty tough to find. Mostly they seem to be aimed more at Historical gamers as opposed to fantasy style worlds.
Mr. Bigglesworth
Yeah that is what I'm finding, which in my experiences means medicore models. I was hoping someone might have found a hidden gem. Cool minis or not has a great hooded rider proxy, but i love the hooded rider model. Slightly off-topic, but Studio McVey's dinosaur rider would make a fan-f'in-tastic western mini, except for the dinosaur part. I'm hoping Malifaux has a long-ranged cav piece, so I can have an excuse to use mine...
Mr. Bigglesworth
Take that dinosaur rider and add wings and you have a Perdita avatar.
