Taylor and Coryphee

This is my first attempt at painting NMM, I got the NM alright, but not so much the M I think. I also overdid the hair and I think that is a failing of some of the miniatures in that the hair bears a resemblance to lego wigs with the lack of detail. I did my best to give the impression of strangs by layering multiple lines of various shades starting with a dark red brown and ending with an intense orange. I also tried to make her weapon glowing, but the phot washed out the blue and tampering with the contrast to try and even the tint probably didn't help either.

While I'm here I thought I'd also show off how I had done my Coryphee, I am not the first to use this particular idea, but I think I did it better if I may say so myself.

The Taelor pic looks good, but maybe another layer of shading or another layer of highlighting on the NMMs wouldn't hurt. I think that's all it would take to really look metallic. Maybe take the photo on a darker background or do some OSL on the mini-pillar to make that glow pop.

I like the basing idea on the Coryphee. It's something I should have done for my Steampunk Arachnids. I'll just have to buy more to make the individual small-based ones, I guess.

Looks great, overall.
