Vlad the Mad Posted December 18, 2010 Report Share Posted December 18, 2010 Nothing to do with the minis really, just a few tips on photography: 1. Try filling the frame with the subject as much as possible - either zoom in more, or just bring the camera closer to the miniature. It is very hard to tell anything except the red-grey colour scheme from your photographs. 2. Try using an angle that does not produce direct reflections - 45 degrees top-down works well usually. 3. Using a makeshift softbox (http://main.makeuseoflimited.netdna-cdn.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/09/softbox.jpe) will make your miniatures look much better, and it can be done in 20 minutes.
