  1. I'm looking to sell my old Malifaux miniatures as I have too many games not being played at the moment. All miniatures that I own are shown in the pictures - most are painted, but some are primed or assembled. Update: Nekima gone, price reduced. It should be noted that Candy is missing her scissors. Except for that, all parts are present. Also, Lord Chompy & Dreamer and the Convict Gunslinger Nightmare Editions are also included. I would also include three foam trays (Battle Foam) to hold all the miniatures that are assembled, maybe some card decks, tokens etc. that I have lying around. I ask for USD 540 for the whole lot shipped to anywhere in the US or the EU. Message me if you're interested!
  2. All items sold as of October 31st have been removed.
  3. UPDATED: October 31st; removed sold miniatures from list (still can be seen in pictures). I have a lot of old Malifaux stuff I would like to trade/sell, preferably as a lot, or at least in smaller lots as I live in Japan. I will entertain offers for individual pieces and small lots as well, but be aware that shipping costs might be somewhat expensive (I will confirm and explain the costs before making/accepting and offer). If anybody should be interested in buying the whole lot, I'd send it to the US/EU/Japan with free shipping (for other regions I'll need to check). The full list of my haves and wants is shown further below. Unless otherwise noted, all the Malifaux stuff is metal and painted to tabletop standard. Pictures of the painted/assembled items are below. If you are interested, just send me a message. 4. Just jumped back into Malifaux 2E after a 6 month break from the game. Some questions: 1. Some of the new miniatures only included in the boxes don't appear on the release schedule (i.e. Barbaros) - will these ever be available as singles, or do I really need to buy the crew box to get them? If they will become available, when will it happen? Has anything been announced yet? 2. This has probably been answered somewhere else, but will single cards be available for purchase anytime? I.E. the Neverborne Arsenal Pack only comes with one copy of some cards that I have multiple models of, like Mature Nephilim or Teddy, and I don't really want to purchase two extra packs so I can have three Teddy cards. I am also not too keen on buying the how Outcast pack just to get 3-4 cards.
  5. I think the post was referring to this bit: I would assume that the need to be polite in one's response to other's opinions is considered to be an act of censorship and a restriction of the rights of expression by Gruesome. I, personally, consider it a basic necessity of effective communication and would recommend naysayers to wait before they make any judgement about the changes, as the final effects will be seen in their execution, not their intentions. As a long time reader of this forums however, I believe that Wyrd has made the right choice with the new moderators and have faith they will keep the forums as liberal and inspiring as they always were.
  6. UPDATED April 18th - Leveticus lot sold and removed from list. - Lowered price on Arcanist Lot and Malifaux bags.
  7. Updated April 2nd - Leveticus Lot Pending - Updated price on Arcanist Lot + Malifaux Bag - Uploaded pictures of Malifaux Bag bottom pluck foam
  8. Only ever played Brutal, and have not been disappointed with it so far. Sure, it's not a fast model, but Guild is not a mobility faction in general. For four points I get Melee Expert, Healing, decent stats, and most importantly a magic weapon. I usually take it instead of a Witchling Stalker with Sonnia or LadyJ, rarely with Perdita, and never with Lucius or Hoffman. I also play Neverborne, but it's mostly been Guild in the last year or so, so my vote goes to Brutal for my positive experiences with it so far. On paper Arcane looks good with the 'borne, and Mysterious might work as well.
  9. I'm looking to sell or trade my remaining Arcanist lot, as well as some Battlefoam bags. I will sell the Arcanists lot for USD140 shipped to US (extra USD15 for shipping to Europe). If you want a Malifaux bag with it add USD50 (shipping included), and if you want both bags, add USD90. I'd prefer to sell the lot with at least one bag, as it would simplify packing and shipping, but it is not a necessary requirement - offers for the miniatures alone are welcome. I also have some other Battlefoam Infinity bags I'd be willing to let go for MSRP60% + shipping. As for trades, a rather extensive list of my WANTS can be found further below, and I'd be willing to split the lot depending on what you have. Here's what I have (MSRP listed for reference only): HAVES Arcanists $09.50 1x Ramos (painted) $10.50 1x Ramos Alternate (painted) $28.00 1x Ramos Avatar (not assembled) $10.50 1x Kaeris (not assembled) $09.50 1x Gunsmith Male (not assembled) $09.50 1x Gunsmith Female (not assembled) $15.00 1x Soulstone Miner (painted) $15.00 1x Large Steampunk Arachnid (painted) $31.50 9x Steampunk Arachnid (painted) $21.00 2x Steampunk Arachnid Swarm (painted) $16.50 1x Steamborg Executioner (painted、not in the pictures) $09.50 1x Joss (painted) $20.00 3x Union Miner (not assembled) $09.00 1x Brass Arachnid (painted) $09.00 1x Electrical Creation (painted) Some pictures of the painted miniatures can be found here: http://i50.tinypic.com/2nityya.jpg http://i46.tinypic.com/28gyzb4.jpg http://i48.tinypic.com/35mjj0y.jpg Battlefoam - all bags in good conditions, with no significant sign of wear. $81.99 2x Malifaux Bag (both brown), bottom trays arranged like this: Bag 1 Bag 2 $109.99 Infinity Alpha Bag $41.99 Infinity Beta Bag WANTS Battlefoam 1x Battlefoam P.A.C.K. 432 Bag (black) Malifaux + Misc. 2x Beckoners 1x Mr.Tannen 3x The Depleted 3x Silurids 1x Bad Juju 1x Hooded Rider 1x Insidious Madness 1x Mysterious Effigy 1x Weaver Widow 1x Spawn Mother 2x Gupps 1x Carrion Effigy 1x Hodgepodge Effigy 1x Arcane Effigy 1x Hamelin the Ratcatcher (Minion) Warmahordes - Cryx, Mercs, Minions 1x Terminus 2x Wraith Engine 1x Nightmare 10x Bloodgorgers 1x Gerlak Slaugtherborn 10x Bloodwitches 1x Bloodhag 1x Daragh Wrathe 10x Blackbane's Raiders 10x Bane Knights 1x Satyxis Raider Captain 10x Press Gangers 10x Sea Dog Crew 10x Nyss Hunters 10x Croe's Cutthroats 1x Orin Midwinter 1x Master Gunner Dougal MacNaile 1x Wrongeye & Snapjaw 1x Ragman Warhammer Fantasy - High Elves 20x White Lions (anything after 6th ed.) 10x Phoenix Guard (6th ed. metal version) 20x Sisters of Avelorn 1x Korhil (most recent version) 1x Caradrian (most recent version) 1x Alith Anar (most recent version) 1x Teclis (post 6th ed.) 1x Tyrion (post 6th ed.) 1x Dragon Rider (most recent plastic kit) Battlefleet Gothic - IN & Eldar 1x Ramilies Starfort 1x Space Dock 1x Emperor Battleship 1x Retribution Battleship 1x Avenger 1x Grand Cruiser (any design) 1x Dauntless 6x Hemlocks 6x Nightshades Firestorm Armada - Sorylian Collective 10x Corvettes 3x Destroyers 1x Starter Set Freebooters Fate - Pirates & Brotherhood Anything not included in the starter sets of the above factions Infinity - Nomads & Haqq/Qapu Qhalki 1x Moderator with Spitfire 1x Bakunin Uberfallskommando 1x Carlotta Kowalsky 1x Tomcat Engineer 1x Tomcat (Combi Rifle, Light FT + DEP) 1x Inteventor (female) 1x Spektr (Hacker) 1x Moran, Masai Hunters (Boarding Shotgun, Crazy Koalas) 1x Ghulam (Panzerfaust) 1x Ghulam (Hacker) 1x Bashi Bazouk (Combi Rifle, E-Mauler) 1x Jannissary with AP Rifle 1x Azra'il with AP Rifle and Panzerfaust 1x Azra'il with Feuerbach 2x Hafza with Rifle + Light Shotgun (usually two miniatures in one blister) That's about it, PM me if you are interested.
  10. I have... 143 Models 592 Soul Stones 75% Painted ... but I doubt I will reach 1000 anytime soon. It would have been 200 SS more, but I just traded my Arcanists and Outcasts as I cannot keep up with the pace of the new releases, as I have the "gotta catch 'em all" disease... only Guild and Neverborne for me in the near future, perhaps even only one faction if I cannot find enough time to play and paint.
  11. This might have been discussed somewhere else, but I though I'd ask still. I started playing Malifaux because I fell in love with the Book 1 miniatures and general art style (drawing etc.), and although there have been many good sculpts in Books 2-4, I still love the Book 1 style the most, and for me it symbolizes the Malifaux character more than any of the newer books. Since Book 3 and even more after Book 4 I feel that this style is being phased out, kind of diverted to Puppet Wars (and the Effigies...), and that the newer miniatures, while technically good sculpts, lack the Wyrdness that made me jump into the game. The artwork in Books 3 & 4 is also not really my thing, as it's looks kind of "plastic" and lacks that Wyrd character that earlier artwork had. I feel the game is trying to make itself more "serious" than before, and that the lack of humour in the miniature, artwork and story design (bar gremlins and such) is somewhat bothering me. I like the game mechanics enough to keep on playing, but most miniatures lately just don't "do" it for me. Anybody else feels this way? And more importantly, is it a change you like or would you prefer the older, more comic-like art style?
  12. This is also a good option for 35-50SS crews. http://www.feldherr.net/uk/mini-plus/mini-plus/feldherr-mini-plus-32-and-monster-half-size-figure-case.html Two trays for standard miniatures, and one pluck-foam tray for the larger ones. You have to be a bit carefull of how much stuff you put into it, but it should also fit the rules manual, cards (both miniature cards and deck), a measure tape and a few tokes. I've been using it for over a year and have been very pleased with it.
  13. As I've been playing on TerraClips terrain for a while now I see where you are coming from, but playing on not-as-layered terrain feels good for a change. There are so many other uses for Obey and Lure than it is not really a necessity (although it certainly is funny). As for the quantity of terrain, if you consider that the tables as shown are 4x4', it should get a bit more crowded once you downsize the area to 3x3' - I've played a few games on them already, and didn't feel the need for more terrain so far (played with Ramos, Rasputina, Perdita, Sonnia, Lilith and Colette so far).
  14. The big cliff-hills are from Terranscapes. http://www.terranscapes.com/products/hills.php ("Martian Mesa" at the bottom of the page) The shop is closed at the moment due to a high backlog - check the newsletter for updates concerning re-start of sales activities. The smaller walls and spires are from Zuzzy's terrain range: http://www.zuzzy.com/despoiled_reaches.html I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and detail of Zuzzy's terrain, and can recommend it very much. No idea if their hills are any good, but I'd like to get some in the future.
  15. The Zuzzy mats are great - I would buy a few more (for 6x4" games) if the shipping outside the US was less expensive. However, the service is really bad, or to be precise close to non-existent. Once the order is placed, one should not expect an answer to any e-mails or similar inquiries. You will get a notification once the order gets shipped (usually after 2 months or so) and a few smaller mats with a "we're sorry" note included in your package. The good thing is your package is sure to arrive, given some extra time. I put a comment on the product and service on Zuzzy's forum if you want to know more: Great Product, Bad Communication You might want to check other comments as well - you will begin to see a pattern very quickly.
  16. I haven't been playing for a while, but I have been working on some terrain in the meantime and wanted to share it with the rest of the community. I've been using Terraclips for Malifaux for the last 8 months now, but I needed a setup that can be unpacked and packed faster, and preferably usable for 4x4" games as well (I play Malifaux only on 3x3" boards, the 4x4" option is mostly for Privateer Press stuff, Freebooters Fate, and possibly even Infinity). In the end I've opted for two 4x4" tables, where Malifaux would be played on the area 6 inches away from each edge. The first table represents the last remnants of civilization before entering the Bayou - perhaps a small Ortega guard post or similar Guild installation: The second table is what I would expect Rasputina's domain to look like, or at least some part of the landscape on the way to there - the Northern Wastes: The mats are Zuzzy mats, and the terrain is from various brands/places. It was fairly easy and quick to paint, but the mats did have a slight learning curve.
  17. I play Infinity and can only echo the sentiments here that it is a great game that is fairly different from mostvother games out there. I've noticed that whether you like the miniatures or not depends a lot on your taste, but the quality of the sculpts is superb, especially the more recent ones. Another game I've been wanting to try is Eden from Taban Miniatures. The rules (downloadable for free) sound fairly good, and I love some of those crazy models - it has something of a Malifaux touch in a sci-fi post-apocalyptic setting.
  18. I was just wondering if there was any chance of Tapatalk support for the Wyrd forums? As I am following quite a few different forums out there, Tapatalk helps me looking over the stuff more quickly and efficiently, and it would be great if the Wyrd forums were available as well.
  19. Hmm, I've only got one with a black joker... I prefer the ace of tomes though. I sure would like it, but lack of interesting clothes in the closet and financial resources in the bank account means it will take a while. Also, my wife doesn't like using the camera, so I'd probably have to use remote shutter control, which takes a lot of time and effort... On the other hand, we'd also like to try some other stuff like Kirai or LadyJ, but that also won't happen for a while due to time constraints (real-life and stuff). We tried doing a LadyJ inspired showgirl pose, and it turned out like this.
  20. Haven't got much playing time with her yet, but out of the ten or so masters I own, I have the most problems grasping Colette and the showgirls - there always seem to be more options and choices available than I initially thought! Leveticus was one of my first masters, and I agree he is hard to master. Not only because of his "rebirth" abilities, but also because you can play a lot of different crew setups with him effectively. Somehow I never seem to get enough practice with one setup in order to really master it. No idea about hardest to win though. I've neither played with or against Marcus, Som'er or any other of the so-called "underpowered" masters, and never really felt that any difficulty in accomplishing a mission was due to some inherent property of my master, but rather the result of my bad choices in crew selection, activation order or other in-game options.
  21. ...well, kinda. Didn't really try to imitate any specific character. My wife and I were looking at my miniatures and we thought she has most of the clothes and accessories she'd need to dress up like a showgirl. After a few hours of preparations, shooting and editing, I figured this is how she'd look if she were one of the girls working at the Star. Note to Wyrd: Should the picture in any way go against forum rules, delete the picture/thread as you see fit. The interpretation of "sexually explicit content" tends to vary from region to region, but I wouldn't consider this photograph to be any more explicit than many of Wyrd's miniatures.
  22. The Marionette's Pull Strings action, is it once per turn per model, or once per turn per crew? It says "once per turn", and we usually played it as once per turn per model, so if a Marionette somehow got reactivate it could not use it again. Were we correct, or is this supposed to be more restrictive (I doubt it though, since it would limit Collodi's crew too much)?
  23. Kinda off topic, but I just couldn't help but leave a comment... The main problem that I have with the twins in terms of game balance is that they are Nephilim-Woe-Nightmares... if they would be only Nephilim they would still be strong, possibly still under-priced, but much better than now IMO.
