Phadlert
Hi! I am new to the Wyrd online community, but I have been working on Malifaux stuff for a bit. I play arcanists, but my first post is going to be a commisioned Alt Barbaros that I finished very recently! Any feedback/critique is appreciated!
Viruk
I like the classic fantasy color scheme. What do the runes on his blade mean?
Phadlert
Thanks :) . The runes are just some designs I made up as I went. If they have a meaning, it is only by accident! haha
YourGitFacedCousin
I could be wrong... but I'm pretty sure that's Aramaic... Yah... it says... 'Don't forget to drink your ovaltine!'
Argentbadger
Very nice. The gradations of colour on the wings are particularly nice. And of course, the runes look very sweet indeed.
Phadlert
I have been working on the old metal Nekima model recently. I really liked the art, but the miniature leaves a bit to be desired. So I decided to try to bring the model more in line with the art. I originally intended just to change the pose (the weakest aspect of the model in my opinion) by bending and twisting the metal, but I couldn't acheive the result I wanted. So, the changes ended up being pretty extensive--chopping off all of the limbs and even the torso in half, then sculpting the transitions and areas I thought were not-so-great on the original miniature (bottom of the garment, fur on shoulders, stomach). Now I can move on to painting it! Let me know what you think
Phadlert
Here is Kaeris for Iron Painter. I finished uploading my photos with 1 minute to spare--didn't even have time to rotate the images to level them out, haha. I wanted to try multiple light sources in a way that there is a rim-light when viewed from most angles.
