Im getting back into malifaux and have found my old outcast collection so im looking to get back into things. The title masters look like one of two things; A. An alt play style master levi 1 and 2, Or B. A fixing of the origional master in some way. Lucius 2, jack daw 2. I can see the play style for most of my phtcast master title versions Leve, horses, yay Jack, origional but better Parker, better damage and control, less resource production Hamlin, obay master insted of brawl summoner. But tara i can figure her 2 out, to me it feels verry similer to 1, but with a bit less tech to her. How does tara 2 play compared to 1 and is one the default or do they both have a place?

Hello. Im seeing the hodge being used alot. Basicaly every master and every pool. Is the hodg a crutch that people take as its pushed. Or is it something most outcast masters need to compete?

I like most of them. Just not 100% Its whay i was asking for a play style pointer for each, to help me pick

Im not saying his models have piip rules. Its the asctetics of them, the revised and update models look cool. But adhiguru, doggos, yin and toshiro look a bit outdated

I was looking for one master if possible. I flip flop on yan lo, at times i think his mini game is fun, at others i find his models ugly Macabe suffers from 2 being very cool and 1 being medioca so had less versitility. Misaki is very tempting and its just the blandness of her crew putting me of. Lynch was an early pick up for me when the thunders first came out, i do like him. But similer to macabe lynch 1 dosnt feel like he has a role now 2 is out

I have a massive ask. Getting back into malifaux for 3rd ed, been gone aling time. I have picked up linh ly and want a second master for some versitility. I have engaged with all the media i can. But cant gain a feel for how the masters play. And need some advice or a lose idea for each master. Im currently thinking of pairing with either misaki, lucas or shenlong (asami is an option but not so big. My resd on linh is that linh 1 is a schemeing controler who is a force multiplyer primeraly. Linh 2 presents as a brawler but i think is still a support peice who can brawl when its safe. So who do i pair with her and how do they play Things i think i could use, a bubble buff crew, a scheme scenteic crew, a mobile crew who can cover area, a core beater master (linh 2 may cover this enough)

Are thunders upgrades bad? Getting back into the game, not been around since second ed. Did alot of looking and settled on thunders. while looking i got the impression that our upgrades are worse than othere factions. The passive buffs feel worse than othere factions and we are lumped with actions that you often wont take insted of a second useful passive. What am i missing to justify useing them
