The Screaming Antelope is one of the core monsters of Kingdom Death: Monster.  And the fact that you can get so many fine resources from it makes it one of the most hunted creatures in the setting.

For this paintjob, I wanted to move away from both the grey standard color scheme for the antelope and away from the red "skinned antelope" look I've often seen.

All together, I feel like this came out really well.

The base is constructed from apoxie sculpt and green stuff.

Well, I thought i'd post some photos of the models I've done, both in 1st and now in 2nd Edition... I have seem the BRILLIANT models that a lot of you guys have painted, and I know I don't compare, so please, any comments and criticism is more than welcomed! The photos aren't great, as I didn't have the pro equipment at home that I do now. I just made do with what I had lying around.

Here is a 1st Ed. Arcanists crew I painted for my now ex-wife. She never did get into playing, but I enjoyed painting these.

Ice Golem (weird incandescent yellowish hue in there, that was from a terrible light I used, along with my fluorescents... sorry about that)

    Rasputina

    Ice Gamin

And a Lilith crew that I was commissioned to do, but ended up not being able to finish it, because I was getting divorced at the time and didn't have the time to complete it. I still feel bad for that. But at least the ones I sent him were nicely done, I thought.

And here's a shot of the Teddy figure that I finished last night for my new Pandora crew, just shot with my camera phone this morning...

A little small, and not shot well, but not bad for a phone.  :)

All of them very perfectly painted! Adored the cherubi and Teddy. Teddy will propably make me nightmares

So a mate of mine made a good case for getting into Malifaux for the first time, with the new edition. My FLGS had some 2e boxes going cheap so I picked up the Bayou Bushwhackers and got to painting some redneck swamp gremlins.

Still have to paint the rim of the base and add the water effects but I'm happy with the progress.

Its moustache can be a bit fragile but other than that, an enjoyable figure to paint. Very simple sculpting, which I prefer. Good rules for Plant Explosives as well. Are you going for the box art colour scheme or something a bit more personal?

Anyone else took a headstart into 2020? Yasunori's mount got the skin bits, hooves & hoof flames done (what else was I going to do on new year's:D)

Overall it's still very dark, that will change. I've just blocked in areas to make sure I like the colour composition. Far as I'm concerned the wings or Yasunori himself aren't "painted" per se, as I've only indicated (roughly) what colour to put where. Working my way up the mount before tackling mr Blender himself. Next session will be the neck scales. Going to re-watch a feather tutorial or two before tackling those wings. Intimidating!

    So beautiful!
