  1. Yeah more trigger would be welcome (same for wong 1 shockwave). Irreducible trigger is useful only on minion/enforcer with armor.

    I spoke about engagement range cause, wizz bang are suppose to have more actions than other cause of fast but in melee, you loose one action to move in base contact. That's the kind of case where i like wong 2 mobility for his crew, harder for opponent to abuse melee 0" in my opinion.

  2. Crew engagement range is pretty low and can be abused (except alphonse) and all mobility tools you mention don't help with blocking/severe terrain.

    Enchantin magics with its trigger really helps about this and give more liberty with wizz bang. I find Wong OG crew more limited about their gameplay/gameplan on the table.

    Wong OG stay the best to stack glowy on models i think but it's kinda obvious he's gonna do this cause he doesn't do much more (except launch tons of shockwave).

  3. A thing i hate about summon, Bayou gremlin are not mindless. So with Lootmonger, you discard a card when you remove a scheme marker, your opponent gain a pass token, your gremlin die, you get back a card thanks to the demise but you just lost activation control. Why would i summon with Loot Monger in this case ?

    And i like to play both Som'er even if they are weak for only one reason : white rabbit co. Without this model, the keyword would be so much more trash.

  4. One other concern for Mc Mourning against Arcanist is the Scorpius ; if you don't kill him, he will kill you pretty fast. Mc Mourning can shut him down but Mc Mourning can't kill Scorpius + Envy + something else in the same time. Arcanist keep having trouble to face conditions crew but Mc Mourning have to think about these models.

    FAQ fix it for cadmus, kirai won't heal this way.

  6. My little point of view on Wong :

    I like to play Wong but first problem for me : when wong is suppose to be good ?

    His crew is really bad for mobility and prefer to play grouped. Wong is the best to put marker on board (launch into space), but he needs Los so need to find a good place to place these marker but want to be close to melee aswell. It's pretty hard to do both in the same time and wong don't like to walk. his crew is not bad at dealing damage with swine curse, taxidermist and stuffed pigglet. But actually, in recover evidence, their melee range is a big problem and in public ennemies, killers have to survive. I think it's the better strategy for wong cause we can be good at it (with gautraeux to heal and alphonse and swine curse to tank).

    Corrupted leyine : every bayou crew can do this strategy thanks to the emissary but wong don't really have good tools to counter so many other master are better.

    The match up :

    -fast/mobile crew : shockwave are bad against, if they are melee crew they engage wong and his friends and half the gremlins become useless (bokor/pigapult/lightning bug with no melee range)

    -bubble (not sure the english name) : seems the best to face

    -gunline : the worst to face i think

    Models :

    - gautrauex : just change op trigger to draw, good model even without it.

    -swine curse : good profil, never disapointed me

    -taxidermist : good damage but weak so here we find the problem i mention before, when should i bring him. The summon range is really short, hard to use in the melee imo.

    -stuffed piglet : really good, can be hired if you don't bring taxidermist.

    -flying piglet : i still have to try to put explosiv with spark on them and then bury and let my opponent decide where they unbury. Only problem : they are significant so hired on strategy without kill, where wong isn't the best.

    - pigapult : i'm not good with it, a real threat but opponent "just" have to engage it to nerf it a lot.

    -alphonse and sammy : good henchmen.

    -olivia : 4SS totem, i always have something to do with her so ok for me.

    -burt : i like him cause i like bonus shockwave and agile but taxidermist seems better for this crew.

    -lightning bug : like the crew, their function is pretty fuzzy for me ; cheap multifonction minion often are bad model, better have specialised profil for this cost.

    I asked myself about playing wong with only versatile and ook models : wong do scheme with launch into space and draw cars with the glow. Use shockwave to attack opponents hands and then the crew play his gameplay without needing wong support. Don't know if it could works

  7. Really interessant for me to read this topic.

    I love to play marcus, ARC as NVB.

    And i'm a bit surprise about COJO : i love the model but i find him a bit weak for a 10SS model. I have to admit i never use his bonus action to mass stack focus so, yeah, i conclue i played him bad. But i still asking myself : does blessed of december could be a good alternative to cojo ? Like cojo, he has a push on his melee attack so he can't charge multiple time thanks to marcus and i find him tankier thanks to hard to wound (and he has leap).

    On the other hand, i love to play scorpius, but i don't hear a lot about him. Maybe only cause it's a more situational model.

    I also like a lot (maybe even prefer) playing NVB marcus cause :

    - more entry for the list (yeah i'm not optimization focus)

    - i don't like to be SS cache dependant. I find this upgrade a bit painful cause some model are bad without but must have with (but it's another problem).

    - the gameplay is really different and less focus on rush and kill (personnal feeling).

    I have to precise it's the only NVB master i play so again, nothing to see with optimization.

    This is just some thought from a regular player but not a really great one 😄 And anyway, i really enjoy reading everybody.

    So why Coryphee B has not yet activated in your example ?

    Hum, if i'm not wrong, myranda doesn't loose SPECIAL upgrade but she looses other one.

    But I don't really know what could be made to make both of them more appealing in Performer Keyword.

     

    Yeah agree with you. I keep enjoying carlos but ice dancer really need a move bonus action which doesn't require ice pillar.

    I think the December crew needs work. The Raspy thread right now (which I totally made and abandoned cause life interfered) is talking about a core and then just filling with versatile, or just taking her as a second master. Like to me that signals a major problem with how a crew works together! The individual models are probably fine (ice dancers, hoarcats, etc) but they're clearly lacking something that makes people want to pick them.

    I don't know a lot Rasputina but i see the same thing with colette. The performers with two keywords (ice dancers and carlos) both seems better in the other crew, even if i keep playing carlos.

  13. I personnaly think SS miner are too safe. I mean it's a 6SS model but in fact it's only a 3-4SS model.

    If you got 8SS remaining in your crew, take a SS miner or not isn't a real hard choice. I'm interesting what counter you know guys ?

    Scheme also have their importance but yeah actually, it's really the arcanist model we see the most.
