I can't see why would be worth it (in 99% of the games) to use one of Brewie's actions to give Distracted +2 to a model that has a damage track of 2/3/4 and range 0" when he dies once he gets close to anything.

Riddles in the Dark is wasted ink in Brewie's card. If it at least had a trigger or being up to +3 (which would be a nice and necessary buff to Youko too), I could see myself doing it.

Never underestimate the power of Drunken Kung-Fu! Hiya!

I mostly stack poison in Brewie and Fingers. 3 Poison in the Whiskey Golem, so I can charge him with Fingers and get an extra action.

My struggle is to keep enough poison in Fingers to draw 2 cards/turn in order to hit the high TNs that the crew has. I wish someone in the crew had a way to transfer poison between models :(

Does anyone use Riddles in the Dark from Brewie? I used it a couple of times, but I feel like he could have something more useful. Giving Distracted up to +2 when the card difference in hand is 3 or more between players is overly situational.

Riddles in the dark is good for buffing your moon shinobi :-)

So while it might seem like a vitriolic statement at first, that's not my intention. I'm just wondering how many other people are having the same thoughts I am.

If you don't want to pay the prices for the individual figs, just buy a good resin printer and print proxies that will be close enough until you can get the individuals or Wyrd starts selling stl files. You won't be able to find an angel eyes fig, but a woman with a gun with 30mm base should be decent enough.

The game store I visit occasionally doesn't carry Malifaux anymore because our local scene fell apart.
I also don't have any other stores within a reasonable distance to visit and buy stuff.
So long as it's not Ebay, Amazon, or the Wyrd webstore can I put in a web order from any online game retailer?

It's really bothersome that if I want the nice looking buy-stuff promo models I have to hope I can find them on the after market and that their not obscenely expensive.

You are fine. Lots of FLGS have online ordering also. The line is blurred now. Just order from this place http://www.gamekastle.com

Prior to the errata there was some talk about you hiring Yasunori and then selecting your master. I'm sure that was tongue in cheek, but it appeared to be a strong contender for every list regardless of Master or Strategy. Several other models that had a similar cost but were less commonly selected also received a cost increase in that errata (the 4 riders).

Yeah, might be some niche situations where he is still useful.

Make sure you're using the Errata version of the Yasunori, and are using the Errata rules in general.

Yasunori was nerfed pretty hard in the Errata.

Yeah, it is pretty unbelievable. Nerf plus point increase? Guess Wyrd didn't want him on the table at all? A shame since it is such a great model aesthetically.

  7. Best crew against Misaki would be a non melee crew that also doesn't rely on her being in a certain place. Anti bury powers like the Marshals would be good too.

Zoraida is quite powerful.  Obey is absolutely devastating used in the right hands. My opponent made short work of my Whiskey Golem with it, one of the best models in the game.

Was reminded today of one of the things i didn't like about D2:OS. The fact that you have to deplete a foes armor before status effects are even considered to take effect. Not sure why they went that way instead of giving a different percentage chance with/without armor, but there ya go.

I'll have to look into those touchdown. Maybe it's time i buy a gaming pc as many of the suggestions in the thread aren't on console

If you have to whiddle their armor down it reduces the amount of random chance in the game and makes it more strategic. Otherwise some of the powerful status effects could make it possible for low level characters to defeat high level ones.

  9. Just got a Gibbering Hordes army and a demo from our local expert. I think a "Wyrd" full scale game definitely has a place and that "Malifaux night/day" could easily become "Wyrd" day. However, given the super popularity of M3E it will remain dominant.

A quick question about kaeris :

when she uses her raging inferno trigger on her conflagration, you place a pyre marker as a blast. My question is  does the injured+1 and burning+1 of the pyre marker drop incur ?  (To summ up, does the target suffers damage + burning+2(1 from conflagration and 1 from the pyre) + injured+1.

    Thx

Just read the rules. "drop" is not considered a move so the hazardous terrain effects would not happen that turn.

No one has brought up that the chinese trade war if not directly effecting manufacturting is likely holding things up in shipping. I remember hearing they had some shipments held up in customs a long while back and that is before all this blew up. If I remember correctly looking at my Basse crew sprews is that they are moving shipping outside of China. That could have all sorts of increased costs and delays that I wouldn't wish on any company.

I am giving them the benefit of the doubt that they are doing all they can. My local store has dwindled all its M2E supply and I am hoping they don't lose that shelf space due to lack of M3E items.

That's possible but doesn't Fantasy Flight make all of their stuff in China too? A well as more than 80% of games on the market lol.

imho the value proposal from Warcry is very interesting with double-side printed board that combine with the core box and a few plastic terrain pieces.

Warcry is quite possibly the best starter set value ever made. That also means it is a mega loss leader. GW can afford to take that loss because it wants you to start playing Age of Sigmar and get hooked in.

One thing though is that the warcry board is less than half the size of the standard 3 by 3 malifaux board.

Infinity has a good solution here where they have excellent starter sets with smaller poster boards and some cheap terrain.

But Wyrd seems agains starter sets for some reason.

  13. I have put together some wyrdscapes recently: The abandoned store, the solarium, pathways, and makeshift defenses. My opinion is that this is some of the finest terrain ever made. The plastic is extremely solid and durable.  The pieces fit together like a glove for the most part.

But what really sets it apart is the interior detail on the pieces. They literally have interiors as detailed as their exteriors.

The only criticism I can give is that it should include instructions although it is kind of fun to put it together.

This isn't the easiest thing to find and you will probably have to order online, but it is worth it!
