Great BR!
I was confused a bit in the beginning seeing as it was Plaag that was recording it. 😅

strategy-some killing like evidence or enemies; also kaeris can play symbols and ley lines depends on enemy faction
schemes: research, vendetta, claim, assasinate, let them bleed
models: borgmann, envy, sometimes carlos and firestarter from keyword
style: aggro, midrange
I agree wildly with this, as a midrange crew, I often prefer Carlos, Borgman and Rider though, but I have yet to try out Envy.
Firestarter is situational imo, but is really quick and can cover the field in only a few activations.
As for the Fire Golem, it's generally only underwhelmed me with it's impact, and for 10SS you can bring Borgman and have a SS to spare and use on more useful hires.

Do you have the old Hoff box or are you getting the new one? I think most of Ramos' stuff is pretty neat for Hoff so I'd just start with that.
I'm getting the new one.

I played a game vs McCabe into Leylines the other day and lost 8-6. Mainly because i didnt get 2 of the start points. Looking back I think I should have taken the mechanical rider. I think she offers a lot on Hoffman. She can go and get vps while the rest of his crew can focus on interdicting and stomping
I already have the Rider, and seeing as Arcanists have great versatile constructs either way I'll focus on Arc Hoffman to begin with.

I was sick and had to cancel on him, so we're playing next weekend! Sorry for the delay.
I got real sick earlier this year and appear to have permanent lung damage, so sometimes can't always stick to my schedule. (I assume it was Covid).
Oh wow. Hope you get better quickly.
Would love to see your game when you're able to play it

How I've played Kaeris so far, I try to block off lanes from enemy movement and restricting them in whatever it is they want to do. Unfortunatelly I think that they do a bit too little on their own, as it's easy to cancel out several activations worth of burning with an assist action.
That's why I I'm looking into a more tanky setup, where characters like Borgman can hold a chokepoint to a degree, stopping them from engaging, and allowing me to use Eternal flames activations and kaeris's activations on damage dealing.
That's the idea anyway. How it works in practice is a whole other matter, as I'm not very well versed in Kaeris yet. I've barely gotten to the stage where I see what doesn't work with my playstyle, and what does.

Ah, ok.
I have most of the arcanist constructs from having a Ramos crew back in ye olde M2E days, and finding a way to use them in M3E would be nice.

Looking at picking up Arcanist Hoffman.
Which models are worth getting for his crew?
Asking here seeing as this thread was never finished. -
the idea is to make more of a solid core to tie up enemies and keep as many as possible within pyre range for eternal flame as I feel that without any frontline, most of kaeris's crew is just too squishy to be competitive and has a too low damage output to really function outside of a very select few setups.

That's actually a good point...
Would be the natural choice, yes. Think I just confused myself a bit there with how many changes I've done to the crew and got a bit lost.

I've been trying to main Kaeris crew a bit, and so far the gamin and golem seems far to weak for what they bring to the table. I've ran them for the 4 games I've played with the crew so far, and currently, I'm dropping them for the most part, as long as I have options.
My crew look like this currently:
- Kaeris, Flame, Borgman(M. Training), Carlos, Rider(Diesel Engine), Miner and Effigy(EoF)
This leaves 6 ss and looking for suggestions for improvements.

Thank you.
Interesting to see how two masters that both focus on pyre markers deal with the amount of them going down on the board.
