The "once per turn" is a restriction for each model with that can use that ability. In a given turn Ramos could do it once, Lazarus could do it once, and the Malifaux Child could to once.

Oh really? I always interpreted that as once per turn regardless of who does it. Good to know! Now I need to build the alt-Laz I got last week

Added Lazarus' Strike Marker synergy :)

For the Ramos's Striker Markers you can add Lazarus to copy the ability again and have 6 Markers at the same time on the table ^_^

Can you actually do this? The action specifies "once per turn". As much as I'd love to spam the board with markers, I don't think you can. You could however, use Laz's (0) to do it, freeing up one of Ramos' AP

  3. After running demos of TOS at Adepticon this past weekend, I'm even more excited for this game to come out. Since the cards are all online, my local Henchman and I are planning on playing some games with proxies to scratch the itch (and maybe help determine some final add ons). Anyone else done something similar? Any fun ideas for proxies? We have access to 3D printing, so we are thinking about making labeled fireteam bases and using markers in place of the models

Or a swarm to turn 5 clear a pile of scheme markers with it's (0) (the most common use I have to summon a swarm)

That 4" pulse scheme removal has won me games in the past. Plus they do have pretty decent damage output, especially against a low df model (lowered by other spiders), where you can keep those attacks coming with triggers. Personally I think the swarms are underrated

  5. As an Arcanist,

Rasputina: several of her thematic/useful models have :blast:blast /:blast:blast:blast and :pulse damage when they die

Ramos: his spiders can self detonate for :pulse damage, and Ramos can blow up his constructs for the same

  6. Not a TT player myself, but on the one time I played against Nico I tried out the Crossroads Seven crew. Lust may have won me that game almost on her own. Pulled Nico out of the backfield into a whole mess of my models to beat on him, while at the same time pushing a necropunk into position to keep Izamu from being able to charge in and save his master. Kept up the positioning shenanigans for another turn or 2, and Sloth was being just downright frustrating for my opponent. Take this with a grain of salt, because again, I only have one game against him, and my opponent was new with him, but pulling Nico in and putting a beating on him seemed to work out pretty well. If you can't out activate him, out maneuver him.

so now that whiskey golem finally has its gamin buddies, will there be a wind and poison golem?

Sandeep cannot use the Whiskey Gamin.

Why must you do this to us, I wanted to run these with Medical Automatons, and just have a bunch of cute trashcan bots running amok

"Typically, only those spirits who abused their power while alive become Wanyudo in death, but Minako Rei can force this punishment upon those she kills. The created Wanyudo are subservient to her wishes, much like beaten dogs."

That reads like Minako Rei might have a trigger on an attack that summons these things.

That's exactly how I read that too. Plus we already know she can summon those origami oni things

For the purrposes of complexity I think we just established that Sandeep is not straight forward or vanilla. An awful lot of players seem to do things wrong with Sandeep and playing a rule wrong has to be the ultimate example of a master being no straightforward but seriously complex. :D

Even more so, complex for the people playing him. For the opponent it must be even worse

So you've got his 3 base AP, 1 AP for discarding a card when a friendly has a :tome in an ability to borrowed with Beacon. You're counting 4 from other models using Beacon abilities (even though 2 of those are zero actions). That's 8. Where are the other 3 AP coming from?

Kandara can't give Banasuva any upgrades.

My bad, both cases of remembering the card wrong. Didn't see the "once per turn" on student of all. 8 actions is still a lot though

  11. Played my second game with Sandeep yesterday. I would say auras and complex synergies are alive and well in the Arcanists.
-Sandeep having theoretically 11 AP (technically 4 of that is other models using his actions)
-Amina having all kinds of auras and weird conditions to give out
-Activate effigy, Beacon, use free Sandeep AP to summon Banasuva off of Kandara, remove slow, chain activate into Kandara, Kandara heals jealous fire lord damage, takes Banasuva's "upgrade", gives him a better one
-Banasuva alone has a ton of synergy with gamin. Borrow armor +2 (metal gamin), Frozen Heart (ice gamin) for facing terrifying or extra damage from bite of December, Lithe from Kandara, etc, etc.

Just a couple examples from a crew I'm new at, so all of this is still fresh and confusing
