  1. Im jumping into a slow grow league week two and the second week is a master lead 35ss crew. I am thinking about either jack daw or sonnia . The strats and schemes are

    Deployment:Corner
    Strat: Extraction
    Schemes: Convict labour, Show of force, Hunting Party, Covert Breakthrough, Catch and Release.

    I was thinking about this list

    Sonnia with badge of office and cherufe's imprint, Ryle with a debt to the guild, a witchling handler and 2 witchling stalkers. Probably take hunting party and not sure on second scheme

    Any advice for me please?

  2. Im jumping into a 35ss game next week and i have to paint up the crew. I have Daws box but can also access anything else the starts and schemes are

    I was wondering if anyone could suggest a crew and whats schemes to take this will be my first ever game with Jack Daw.

  3. Across the factions who do you think is the toughest Henchperson? What do i mean? The best all round....can take a hit and dish out some too.

    So far I think Joss is one of the best. Tough to kill and his ignore armour, hard to wound and kill axe is very cool...middle of the road damage but consistent.

    What do you think?

  4. Thanks guys, some great ideas. I didn't put down convict labour because its the always available.

    I would feel naked without Joss but ill give it a think I think it makes perfect sense (sounding like Kyhodee now). I do love my large arachnids. Is there another scheme I could take and replace the mech rider?

    Strategies: Convict Labor, Leave your Mark, Show of Force, Frame for Murder, Occupy their Turf

    Im thinking Show of force and framed for murder. Ramos bubble to get show and framed on Howard

    Mech rider to hold a quarter??

    game 3

    Scheme: Stake a Claim

    Deployment: Corner

    Strategies: Convict Labor,  Show of Force, Take Prisoner, Covert Breakthrough, Search the Ruins

    Show of force and search the ruins maybe? Take large arachnids to eat any schemes in the bubble instead of the mech rider?

    game 4

    Scheme: Reconnoiter

    Deployment: Standard

    Strategies: Convict Labor, Show of Force, Hunting Party, Detonate the Chargers, Inspection

    Similar to the interference take the show of force and hunting party

     

    Game 5 has me stumped not sure which to go. My pool of models available is Ramo, Joss, Howard. mech rider, 2 large arachnids, 2 soulstone miners, 9 arachnids, one swarm, a December acolyte, ice gamin, ice golem, Johan, brass arachnid.

    Strategies: Convict Labor, Exhaust their Forces, Take Prisoner, Neutralise the Leader, Mark for Death

     

     

  5. Greetings,

    I am taking part in a grow campaign and I have decided to go with Mei Feng so I can do some cross faction fun after the campaign wraps up.

    The first crew has to be henchman led and 25ss not including the cost of the leader.

    So I obviously I am taking Kang to start. Going to have a couple of rail workers. What else should I take and what upgrades? I was going to paint up the Genbu version of Izamu just for fun but its a big point sink.

    Any advice would be much appreciated.

  6. I played a game yesterday with my Ramos crew against a Tara crew. I took setup on Hannah. One turn I killed the void chicken with my rider and dropped scheme markers around Hannah. I left it for a turn to see if I could have got the third. Next turn I had the perfect opportunity to kill Hannah and as the strat was collect the bounty I had to do it. Plus she was being a pain in the arse copying bury. This then meant I missed out on setup. Obviously hindsight says I should have taken it at 2 but I got greedy and didn't set up the situation well enough (pun not intended).

    It taught me a lesson though. if I ever get the same situation again I will take the 2 and forgo the one. I guess it is just experience. Anyone faced something similar in their learning curve?

  7. First game at a tourney tomorrow is collect the bounty with  hunting party, exhaust their forces, setup, setup and public demonstration

    Im thinking about this list to take hunting party and setup

    Ramos- Field Generator and underpressure. 5SS

    Brass arachnid

    Joss with bleeding edge tech

    Howard with imbued energies

    Mechanical rider

    Electric creation

    Ramos and joss will form a bubble in the middle after killing the EC and summoning shenanigans. Hank will flank and mechanical rider will also flank and go for the setup victim. what do you think?

     

  8. I am having real trouble here. I ma far too timid with him. I know he isnt a sledgehammer and more of a scalpel. I tried the alpha strike with him reactivating....usually founf him overextendd and just ended up trading him for a model less value than him. Today i was a little timid with him, i went one way and then brought him back to attack Hannah. Ended up killing her but then lost him. I am just not sure how to use him.....Ramos' bubble is great to keep him for those :+fate from Under Pressure.....how do you use him? 

  9. I have thought about Lynch as I also like the aesthetics of his crew...thanks all for the discussion....at the moment I am really enjoying Ramos, he is quite forgiving of my play style the only problem is I am a bit too passive with Howard, I have to work on that!

    I have picked up MeiFengs crew as well and when i get it painted I will rotate with Ramos.

  10. Local henchman is running a slow grow. I thought it might be the perfect time to start a never born crew. I have most of the stuff ready to be put together. Looking for advice. First list has to be 25 ss. 

    Building to Pandora I thought widow weaver, teddy and two insidious madness. Not sure of upgrades.

    Building to Zoraida; spawn mother, bad juju with eternal fiend and some gupps.

    Lynch; nekima, two illimunated and some terror tots

    any ideas?
