  1. How exactly does this interact? Is the maximum rank value of whatever you can summon equal based of of the TN of the manifested spell slot? Can you only summon one specific beast per instance of the spell in manifested form? Does the value of what you can summon go up as you take mage levels? Or does the manifested spell just leave it as is and treat it as a 5T spell as far as limitations?

  2. Hey guys I'm working on converting alot of goodies from Pathfinder, D&D 3.5, World of Warcraft and more! Its going to be a large personal project that Ill be sharing with you guys. Feel free to use my creations in your own games and leave feedback. Opinions on everything from balance to phrasing, and even grammar are welcome!

    Craft Spell Scroll.
Requirement: Literacy 3 or higher, A magic Skill 3 or higher.

This character can use soulstone dust infused ink to scribe spells upon parchment for later usage. This process requires materials costing the spells target number in scrip plus 3 scrip per immuto placed upon the magia . The magia and immuto inscribed upon the Spell Scroll need not be in your active grimoire, but must be magia or immuto you have access to in a grimoire or are treated as always having in your active grimoire; the base magia must use a magic skill of which you have a rating of 3 or higher. A Spell Scroll may be used by any character capable of reading it, and its ink fades away after one use. The Spell Scroll’s casting AV is calculated using the creator's literacy+the magical skill rating used to create the Spell Scroll; however, the creator may choose to lower the Av if they so wish. Creating a scroll uses the following Ongoing Challenge:

    Craft Spell Scroll:
    Skills allowed: Literacy
Target Number: 10+ 1 per immuto
    Duration: 1 Hour
    Success Requirement: 1+1 per immuto
    Failure Requirement: 2
Special: Calculate your Literacy AV for this ongoing challenge using the magical skill rating for the Spell Scrolls Magia in place of the appropriate Stat. This Challenge Automatically fails if Attempted without both a Literacy and appropriate magical Skill-kit available.
    Success:
1 Spell Scroll is created. If the creator wishes they may encode the Spell Scroll. An encoded Spell Scroll requires the bearer to succeed on a Scrutiny Duel vs Tn 10+The Creators literacy rating; unless they either know the Spell Scrolls code or have decoded the scroll in the past.
    Failure:
The materials used are destroyed, and the scrolls creator takes half of the Spell Scrolls AV in damage(rounded up.)

  3. The first manifested power is balanced around it being a (0) AP action reducing the users damage over time in exchange for burst and debilitating effects. Allowing the patient Assassin to eliminate nearly any target.

    (0) Preperation: Gain one of the following

Mind Numbing Poison: Your next attack causes the target to take [-][-] on all magic duels during their next turn.

Crippling Poison: Your next attack causes the target to gain the slow condition

Deadly Poison: Your next attack deals 4/5/6 damage.

Vanish: become invisible for one round and gain Cloak of Shadows +1.
Cloak of Shadows: You may use the stealth skill in plain sight and gain [+] on all stealth duels.(max +3) You gain the slow condition Until you end cloak of shadows. This condition ends at the end of the round unless you are within (2) of any shadows.

Shadow Step: Teleport to a space within (1) of any shadow within (Presdigitation+Stealth)Cloak of Shadows stacks yards. Reduce your stacks of Cloak of shadows to 0 and gain Focus+1 for every stack removed in this way these focus stacks may only be used on a melee attack and are lost if not used before the end of the round.

Eternal Shade: You may lower your Cloak of Shadows condition by 1 in order to perform a 1/1/4 healing flip that may be cheated

The second ability to be taken around destiny step 3 is balanced around requiring perfect set up and positioning to perform powerful effects to effectivley remove a target from combat

Finisher: Every time you perform a damage flip gain the Combo+1 condition(Max 3). While at combo+3 gain melee expert.Gain the following actions

    (3) Eviscerate: Lower your Combo condition to 0. Perform a single (1) AP attack action and multiply the damage x3

    (3) Sever Spine: Lower your Combo condition to 0. Perform a single (1) AP attack action reduce its damage to 1 and the target gains the paralyzed condition for a number of rounds equal to your combo condition before performing this action.

    (1) Bloodlust: You may only use this ability while you have the Combo+3 condition. Reduce your combo condition to 0. Gain the Reactivate condition

I hope u guys like the conversion. Any balance ideas are welcome. Im going to submit these to my fatemaster for an a shadow bending rogue character concept I have so balance input would be nice. I know it seems like alot of versatility but to get alot out of it it requires patience prep time and knowledge of an impending encounter.

  4. Okay so it just may be the tired philospher in me talking but why do members of the cult of december wear heavy clothing when nearly all of them if not all of them have frozen heart. It prevents hypothermia after all, and shame is kinda one of those emotions that gets phased out when your heart is ice. So when do we get our sexy bikini rasputina alt model wyrd. Side note what happens if a silent one were to cut off their tongue to remove rasputinas brand?

Swamp Flurry is correct as a (1) AP Action.

Mire Golems are dangerous creatures. In the hands of a PC with the Mud Calling Magia, this is balanced out by the spell having a high TN with two suits required outside the confines of the Bayou.

Inscription is a very powerful talent that can drastically increase the power of a spellcaster in a campaign. It being tied to a single Grimoire is essentially a balancing mechanic. You can allow it to be taken multiple times, but doing so might lead to characters with access to a wide variety of Magia in only a handful of sources (or a single, super-powerful Grimoire).

Jesus christ that means it can get 3 attacks off even with the slow o.o or 6 attacks in a turn. Also would that tn work for summoning golems in general. Since we have summon stats for golems but only summon gamin atm unless im missing it

  6. Swamp flurry as printed is a 1 action instead of the 2 it should be. Was wondering if anyone else Noticed it I let it slide one game in case but im checking to see if it should be 2 as I believe it should be. (its even a 2 on all other flurries and the like in m2e and ttb) also should I allow inscription able to be taken multiple times shouldnt the inscription talent be able to be taken multiple times at least once per grimoire? just once feels kinda like it gyps the player for ever swapping grimoires.

  7. Through the breach has quite quickly become my favorite ttrpg system. With its massive amount of customization, fast progression system, ever increasing balance, and of course the amazing amount of attention wyrd pays to its customers (mason im looking at you.) So I found myself wondering, what would it take to go beyond the planned 6 books. Id love to see Through the breach become the next pathfinder or dnd. I know fan content is a thing, and im planning on making some myself soon but nothing beats the legality of first party materials when you bring them to a table. I hope the fan base keeps growing, and that wyrd sees our love for the game, and decides to expand with some splat books and even more expansions beyond the 6 planned (imagine how bad ass through the breach modern would be.) Keep the world growing guys, and dont you dare let this company or this game die <3

  8. So into the bayou is apparently likely to have its online release in december. I saw this redneck elfname generator and thought Id drop it here since the names seemed PERFECT for festive gremlin names. The little bastards spend all their time sopping up human culture anyways so Id imagine there has to be a gremlin that took christmas too far. Betty Lou the Jingling Crack Hoe will most deffinitly be in the next game I run xD

You could also take a Call of Cthulhu approach to things and force the players to come up with a way of keeping the revenant contained, rather than finding a way of killing it. Binding it to a certain place, trapping it within a particularly large Soulstone, etc.

I wonder how high we can get that bury duration.

  11. So im thinking of building a fmc with the one with the night power. the problem with that is any fmc capable of pulling it off once will pull it off eternally due to how fmcs work. So im curious is there any way of causing them to fail that duel that the players could use?

While the Pursuit is based on Bete, she's a unique creature and follows her own strange rules.

Also, when it comes to the Malifaux Game, sometimes the rules don't make sense outside of the game proper because of balance issues and interactions with other models. That's why Malifaux Rats are neither Living nor Undead in Malifaux, despite clearly being living creatures.

I suppose a revenant could use a few manifested powers to be more like her. She is my favorite model after all(painted her as soon as she came out in plastic when i first started minis and wanna get a few more now that im more skilled)

Actually, Bete is just undead, not a spirit at all.

Really? between her incorporeality, and her appearin as the bloody picture for the class and it being based almost entirely off her id imagine she was one xD in fact i wonder why it makes u a spirit since its obviously intended to make you into bette

  14. i wonder if its possible to regain the characteristics in any way. i think bete noire is an undead spirit if i remember rights, and shes the pic of revenant.

Sorry, just got my Under Quarantine book last week and was think of the Medium (who also makes you a Spirit).

Everything else I said is correct though (as far as the spirit and undead keywords being completely independent things.. Just replace the word Revenant with the word Medium in my post :P .
