I've given it some thought and since Angelica can use her 5" move bonus action on her self she could be a really good scheme runner. She can walk six, use give em an encore for five and then drop a scheme marker ten inches away with a tome. Seems decent ook for 7+tax.

Not just 10", you get the length of the shockwave marker too, so it's a bit over 11. I've wondered if she's worth the SS use upgrade to guarantee the tome for that trigger.

That's one thing that really bothers me.  If you're spending 24ss for the package, I don't see why you shouldn't be able to even use Blue's mantra.  It really means hiring Blue outside a Sandeep-led crew is just not worth it

That's kinda the point I think.  They don't want 2 master lists to be the strongest things out there, so they limit them where there could be shenanigans.

  3. Amina for a nice stat7 obey and SS generation could be really good in some pools.

Shoutout to Angelica, who can place a scheme marker over 11in away for a 5:ToS-Tome:. In the right pool it could be good enough to give her the upgrade to let her use SS.

He’s going to get the Oxfordian mages certainly, but I can’t guess who Ironsides will get in her core box now. Miners are useful for Colette also, steamfitters are explicitly dual-keyword...

Maybe they'll give her Gunsmiths and a second henchman? And though Miners are useful for Colette, they're out of keyword, so they're probably the most likely include.

I might be able to get a game in with MEI to try Amina too this weekend... Also tempted to take Hoffman and use a guardian to toss MEI into harms way, fast, with her totem putting down scrap she can escape to... Not sure it'll be that effective in letting me achieve my schemes/Strat but should hopefully be fun as hell!

If you're just wanting toss, can get if from Cojo as well, or Banasuva if you bring Sandeep.

Mei as a beater in a Sandeep crew probably wouldn't be that bad either, metal gamin/golem are in keyword for him, so she'd have some easy scrap to jump to, and she doesn't lose anything for not being a leader.

    2. Everyone pretty much focused once per turn for the first three turns, so most of my models had between 2 and 3 focus when the game was called.

On her next activation she beat him to death with three attacks thanks to flurry, all of which were supported by her previously hoarded focus.

How late in the game was this? It would have to be turn 4 for her to have 3 focus and be able to do 3 attacks right? Unless you got her focus outside of activation.

And honestly, an 8 stone henchman using a full activation with flurry + the obeyed action + at least 3 other activation's worth of resources taking someone down isn't all that absurd to me.

    Stupid question:
But where Sandeep's summons "With Our Powers Combined"
Where are the Wind Golem, and Poison Golem stats?

They don't exist yet. They'll possibly be in later waves of models.

I would rather have his current Grit pseudo fast when he is near Amina or Ironsides than him get a power token he can get from elsewhere..... just don’t see the POV where a + flip or suit is better than an extra when you can get the power token other ways.

You missed the part about giving him back nimble, so he'd be psuedo-fast from that, unless you managed to not need to move that turn.

Also, I didn't notice until now that he lost Flurry. That seems like it would be plenty to get him back to his old self, though I like the Trail->nimble and changing the grit. The power token idea is cool, or maybe not have to discard a card to flurry if that gets added.

  9. I feel like she'd be much more interesting as a board control master. She has the makings of it with Pyre markers and Up We Go, so it would be cool to go all in on that. Not sure how you'd fit any more on her card though...

  10. What's with your meta and clumping things up? You had the same-ish thing in the Raspy thread, with her shockwave markers hitting like 5 models a piece. That's not really something I've seen happen or heard of happening outside of what you talk about, and in those situations anything that's AoE is going to get exponentially stronger.

Irresistible damage is definitely something to keep an eye one, but I think a master ap and a model are probably a fair cost for it. It only needing a 4 to cast is maybe a bit low, but the 10 you needed in 2nd was crazy, especially since that one came with a simple dual and didn't draw a card.

Side note- Are there any obeys that can target masters now? Because if so, Ramos is a gigantic liability going into those matchups.

  11. It takes a master action to do it, and gives the opponent a pass token in the process. Plus, only Colette can use the dovestones, so I think room for abuse is pretty small over.

Good to keep an eye on, but I doubt it will be an issue overall.

Now it does bear mentioning that as a hire, it does change things slightly but I don't think the additional AP would have changed much.

Second masters still get 3 AP, see page 24 of the rulebook:

"Taking Actions: Models may take up to two Actions during their Activation, save for Leaders and Masters, who can take up to three Actions. These Actions are resolved one at a time, with each Action fully resolving (including any Triggers) before the next one begins (see Action on page @@)."

If you play him in neverborne you can’t take his mutations  though, right?

Yeah you can, they're just listed in the arcanist upgrades because marcus is listed with the arcanists.

  14. I think it will mainly depend on what you're wanting with the rest of the crew to be.

If you've got Kaeris as leader, you have San (16), Kandara (8+1), Banasuva (7+1), Fire golem (10), Eternal Flame (0) - that's 43 stones right there

    Take Sandeep, it's Kaeris (16), Kandara (8), Banasuva (0), Fire Golem (10), Eternal Flame (3) - 37 stones.

Taking Sandeep as the leader nets you basically another model overall, plus the ability to summon 3 more than otherwise. Really, unless you're somehow making up the 5 stone difference between Banasuva and the eternal flame, Sandeep should always be the leader. That's basically true for any multimaster crew taking Sandeep other than maybe Ironsides, unless you don't take Big Blue

Note: I wrote that without realizing Kaeris's Third Degree Burns only works when she's a master, so that could change things significantly, though it seems unlikely that TDB is worth 6 SS
