  1. I wanted to start Malifaux a long time ago while i was living in Austria but never really found a local group and had to travel 2+hours to a gaming store. So my interest wained. I recently moved to  Epsom Surrey and am looking to start, It's very easy for me to travel to the Dark Sphere near Waterloo as I have a direct train link from Epsom.

What is the best way to get started? Can i arrange an Introductory game?

    Many thanks for all replies.

  2. Me and buddy combined to create a mega order to save on shipping, totally didn't need any of the stuff but wanted it all so very badily :D I opted out of all the new releases and stuck to pre-orders so my local hobby store can still get its pound of flesh. Can't wait for the gencon sale already!! Time to start saving again!!

yes, you absolutely should.  The stories are fantastic and well written and really flesh out the characters and the world of malifaux in general.  However, as far as I know, all stories are set post-second breach era.  The only mention of the black powder wars that I know of is in the main rulebook where the timeline overview covers the wars existance and it's outcome.  I personally would love some pre-malifaux and pre-second breach stories, maybe in book form if the world and lore become popular enough to warrant publishing such a thing.

I strongly agree with this, maybe fan made selection of short stories?

Teddy and the Widow are ready and my minimal plan for the month of March is fulfilled. I'll try to paint some more, new Tuco is up next.

These are totally awesome!! Love all the neverborn you've got done. With an eye on the iron painter being pretty in pink this round, What colours/paints did you use for the widow weaver?

  5. Always the local game store, you might save a bit of money online but supporting your local guys will help maintain the community in your area, Wyrd also offer special bonuses for using your local Game stores. This month a free model in each box of marked black blood shamans.

    It does indeed. Ty sir.
Where have you been checking? In Austria I know which website to visit to check connections, but for the UK I do not and google yields a billion results? Suggestions?

edit: seems you need a taxi from the station to the venue. Its really not easy to get anywhere in the UK without a car, eh? ^^

I might be back in the Uk for this as well Cyrion I have been speaking to a friend about linking up so if im over I have a Car in the UK, I will most probably fly Linz to Stansted.

  7. While we are on this topic can someone explain the Jack Daw Mechanic regarding turning the card over and attaching it? "Penance" I think? Do they lose the upgrade or ?! I skimmed the crossroads the other day and forgot to go back to read it again as I was a bit baffled about how that mechanic worked in game.
