  1. Dreamer used to be entirely non-dependant on suits of cards in hand/stones. With a fairly broad summon pool it made him the most efficient summoner in game. His only resource needed was "any high card."

Now he is more in line with other summoners. Molly needs enemies and Crows (unless summoning for effect which is a thing, then she just needs Crows) Nico needs Crows and Corpses. Kirai needs friendly wounds and Crows. They've all got something. Now dreamer needs Masks, and that's still pretty damn efficient.

  2. Stolen grafted to rats, weilding rusty blighted shivs. Plague was a scientist and has no comprehensible morals, so it could happen. Teeny tiny tauric nightmares... brb have to go stat that up for TTB, my players will be horrified, it's great.

  3. I find Titania and Nekima very useful against gremlins. They bring a DF oriented crew against someone who is prepared to fight willpower. Flight lets them out positon running gremlins, and plucking a key model and murdering it away from the pack is a game changer.

Having said that, Armor is the second thing. Illuminated and Knights together are a tough nut to crack.

Finally don't forget that Depleted exist. Tar pit models, that are minions, while unable to interact are crazy hard to shift, and if you do kill them they pop for a final damage burst.

  4. A Resser/Arcanist with a hate for Leveticus.

Construct/Undead buffer, Support where Levi exploits.

    Comes with Necropunks

Can hire in 2 M&SU Construct Minions (a la Hoffman but restricted)

Can give a Construct the "Undead" Keyword or Undead the "Construct" keyword by Amalgamation, either via Condition or Upgrade.

It Lives!: damage an Undead and give it Fast. Trigger if target is also a Construct Push.

My Greatest Creation! Once per activation give an undead/construct a condition for +damage or [+] or similar until end of turn.

Feedback Loop: can take damage to mitigate damage on construct/undead, in a small aura.

No summons, though his Totem/Enforcer, a young gentleman with a sword and pnumatic legs, can summon Necropunks.

  5. Yin's debuff really helps make Reva tick.

    I'll second the Carrion Emissary.

I'll also propose Anna as an addtion. She can take advantage of Yin's debuff, dealing min 3, and can summon Mindless Zombies at the same time. She brings Rush of Magic, which is always nice. She even helps keep models away from Reva's back line.

At this point I would drop Vince, and pick up Litanies, possibly Decaying as well though it's really not that terrible to make your opponent stone to prevent, it still consumes the resources, and with the amount of Min 3 available they'll go fast.

  6. 1) Nekima: Adding Nekima to my options this year has dramatically improved my Neverborn play.

    2) Primordial Magic: Card advantage and counting as a scheme marker has been a winning addition in many of my games.

    3) Coppelius: Crazy fast scheme-runner hunter. Usually taken with Wings, he has been key in disrupting opponents' game plans.

    4) Titania: Audience with the Queen and Behold My Glory. Being able to yank my opponents out of position and taunt in one action is incredible utility, and supports Nekima very well.

    5) The Thorn: Her Challenge is very useful, as I often need only a single marker here or there, and with her large Engagement range and good Armor piercing damage after challenge she has been very effective.

Even it is baked into another source I should clearly not suffer it if I have a rule that makes me not suffer damage due to auras?

If we are going by very strict wordings without flexibility then the wording of Wrath's ability doesn't clearly specify that the +1 dmg is caused by the ml attack so how do I know the source? Would the ability need to be worded "models that suffer damage from a ml attack suffer +1 damage from this aura" to work as Ithink? My default mode for assigning damage would be that if it isn't clearly specified the damage is part of the current ability that I'm resolving.

How can you tell without a doubt that the +1 is to be considered baked into the ml damage and not just one extra point of damage caused by the active rule in question?

If this rule is an example of something that is not considered damage from an aura then damage immunity from auras seems very lackluster. After all, if I suffer damage due to a misery aura I could argue that the damage comes from failing a Wp duel so aura immunity doesn't cover it. Misery gives damage to models fulfilling a certain condition in a certain aura. Wrath's ability gives damage to models fulfilling a certain consition in an aura. None of them emmanate solely from being in the aura but from being in the aura and fulfilling something else to proc the auras effect. Why are they different?

Compare Wrath's aura to Misery. The + there means modifying an existing source. If it were a separate source it would be something along the lines of: "A model that suffers damage from a ML attack within A3 suffers 1 damage." Which would be a whole new source.

  8. The doxy does not get her death effect because it's not killed by an enemy model. That got cleared up in the previous thread.

As for the other part, there isn't anything stopping you from doing that, but I'd argue that it's a massive waste of your Master's AP, when you could take say, Mortimer, with Corpse Bloat, and in 2 activations achieve the same effect while still taking worthwhile actions with your master.

I'm surprised that there aren't Mercs within the Ortega clan, but from the fluff the Ortegas are pretty chivalrous people who wouldn't be caught dead helping the Neverborn(exp. Tuco and Papa with Mama Z), Rezzers, or Gremlins.

Well, Papa is a special case. He heard the Whispers and went Loco. So who he hangs around with isn't entirely his own choice. (Jack Daw can steal him away too)

  10. The big thing I find with the Gunslingers is they should be going late in the turn after your opponent has cheated a lot, and really lean on the [+] to attack that they get naturally. Between that and pipes putting people in Rapid Fire range they're good multi hit damage dealers. Facing Armor obviously makes them less desirable, since they do their damage over multiple hits.

  11. Hamelin is basically 2 boxes for 8 hired points, and a bunch of summons. Since he has access to lure, obey, and charge denial a ranged crew goes very well with him. I enjoy Hamelin, Rusty Alyce or Lazarus, Sue and a couple Convict Gunslingers, with a stolen and a wretch to start the rat creation process.

Your rat engine is to delay activating until your opponent can't react then lure something in and unload on it with obeyed attacks and rapid fire. Schemes are done by Rat Kings and Catchers

  12. Pandora is probably just a figment of the Box's imagination.

With information that the Fey became the Neverborn races, and that the Nephilim are the closest to the Fey, and that the Fey look human, I would think that the Nephilim that are more monstrous are simply further decended from the line of the Fey.

  13. I'd really only advise sorrows if Iggy is around to keep them alive in Pandora's absence. Since he's only 5 stones himself he's relatively easy to fit in and helps the Pandora build up. Perhaps WW, Iggy, Sorrow, Teddy (1000 Faces) for an even 25. If your opponent brings armor swap for Retribution, if not, Malifaux Provides.

  14. I sleeve my cards and write on the sleeves for conditions, wounds, and black the corner of the card when they activate. For markers, at the moment I'm using some of the colored clear bases with blank white stickers on them to write what they are on them, but I plan on picking up some laser cut stuff.
