Of the three I'd suggest looking into EVS. They're fairly straightforward models, not oppressive, and the keyword gimmick is enhancing the value of the low cards in your hand. Seeker has a lot of positioning requirements and out-of-activation ability management, while DUA/Umbra is awesome but can absolutely body new players.

There's certainly worse Malifaux purchases you could make than the Riders.

Going back to the "kinda sucks to see faction leader Misaki subverted by the Burning Man", I'm glad it looks like his influence has left her...unwell...but not a fully subjugated cultist. We actually seem to have gotten a decent spread; it looks like Nellie, Reva, Kaeris, Parker, and Maxine are all pro-Burning Man in their own fashions while Euripides, Misaki, and Ulix have been impacted in different ways.

Yeah, he and Zipp are shown actually making the attempt in the 3e Outcasts book after getting absolutely wasted. Jack Daw was most displeased and makes it known. That story ended relatively upbeat though with the bandits and Gremlins remaining friends and planning new schemes, so I'm not sure exactly what triggers the Title.
