Completly agree with that, I'm unhappy to see that every time I play old masters are harder than new masters, the diference is so huge and in tournaments I doesn't think play another thing than Sandeep with power diference and last cuddle on Colette.

This weekend I tested Amina with a Ramos control list in Head Haunter.
Ramos (UP, FG, CM) 7ss

Mobile ToolkitThe idea: does bubbles with Ramos, Amina and Scorpius.
Arachnids are summoned wounded and Amina can do the enemy can't hitter them, with PoisonG with can put poison to slow with Scorpius.
Scorpius died fast for a RJ, but was no problem because I had Frame of Murder on him.
In general I'm satified with the Crew, Amina did a great job, and bubbles of Ramos for on Df works, but still think an 8 for a cast Field Generatos it's to much for and upgrade of 2ss.
The worst thing are use Blade and Claw on Amina, because with that she have 3 0Ap and are too many for her, and the ss, Amina drains it a lot because doesn't have the printed and you want the triggers

The real problem are we play Archanists faction, a faction who define himself for a general use of armor, for that reason the enemy allways try to get some models who ignore armor, and IceG armorless it's really trash.

In other post we speak a little of that new Henchman, now I want to see if someone tested it and his impresions, and with what Masters is better.
I think the best choice is Sandeep for give Wp to Oxfordians and try to control the enemy, and Ramos because the Arachnids summons with damage and his triger prevent attacks to damaged miniatures.

IMO, nothing.
For me and other people in my game group it's one of the worst miniatures in the game.
His Df2 is terrible, something that ignore armor or an amount of low attacks will kill him quickly, all attacks of all kind of miniatires will hit him.
His main attack have a low 3dmg of moderate for a 10ss Enforcer, and for do the Smash he need be on combat before.
He doesn't have movement tricks, he is slow, and for example, which is what do you prefer to move with Snow Storm hability, IceG or Raspu...
In other words play him if you want but, be clear with yourself, it's a bad election, you play him for do tematic crew or for the miniature xD

To be honest... if your opponent is retarded can Lure a Howard without activated or something like that, but if not, he'll lure something activated to kill it...

I usually plays vs Ress and NeverB, and I think they can't imagine the power of lures, pushes like Siren Call of the performer can't be compared with that because it's so easy to counter, you only need cover with something and it stoped you in the push, and only have 12" range, but a walk can't be countered, and with 18" of reach and an amazing Ca7 they will move whatever they want.
In Malifaux the most important thing is positioning, for that reason pushes and moves enemy or alied models are OP, and if you can't be safe from that you are fucked.
Yes, I know things like Counter spell stops it but, it's only for selected models and the rest of the crew continues on danger.
Also I know too the Roten be Cuddled the last time, and still be OP, IMO the reason of that is the hability, it's must be 12" of reach to expose a little the model or doesn't have the crow printed like Oiran or have Ca5 like Baby Kade...

Yes, a bad hand can ruined my game, but it's an Alpha list and all Alpha lists have that thing xD
In the other hand I'm thinking on Arcane Emisary like second beater over Coryphee or Rail Golem

@hydranixx it's really nice idea change the upgrades on Ramos for the reasons you describe, I'll do it
And It's true, Corypee is better than Rail Golem on the paper, but I played so much times Howard and Corypee in the other hand I never played Rail Golem, I really want play him, always that I think one miniature is bad I want test it for be sure of that, so I'll do one thing, I try to play two crews one with Corypee and another one with Rail vs the same enemy crew.
@Frollo the Wordbearer, no problem, I write for that, to discurs things and see if I'm daze and can't see how bad is my idea xD

Rail Golem seems nice dmg dealer for try this, I allways play Joss but on this time want to test that.
The reason for kill Brass Arachnid is we doesn't have ss for more models, I want 7ss on Ramos. And if Brass Arachnid reactivates 2 miniatures doesn't walk and the two beaters are in the front line so far away to reactivate him for second time.
I doesn't think be hand dependent, Brass Arachnid have Rewire so we doesn't need to reactivate, and Ramos only need if want 3 Arachnids, in other case can use ss, so all our can go for Rail Golem.
You can be right and the crew may be bad, but I think can give a chance xD

7. Union Miner shots Rail Golem twice for +4 or +5/6 burning depends on on defense
8. Angelica push Rail Golem + Howard 5"
9. Howard can hit something within 17"/23" (push 5" + nimble 5" + IE to move 5" + flurry 2", or + charge 6" + 2")
10. Howard can hit something again within 7"/13" (nimble 5" + flurry 2", or + charge 6" + 2")
11. Rail Golem can hit something depends on in hand, he has so much burning on him

The best miniature vs Transfusion is the Performer, if he charge someting you can expurge 12" range, same with the Autpsies

I'm thinking a list to go for double Alpha: Howard + Rail Golem.
To can charge the first turn with both of them of course need in hand, but need too a little burning like 2/3...

1 ss doesn't keep alive Joss vs Perdita and Francisco if be necesary (companion) so I prefer try win initiative
And yes in the game 1 with more turns I don't do nothing but it's for y played conditioned of my slow play oponent, more than 2 hours to only take 2 turns desesperate me xD. I play really bad in Game 1

Yes 'As' mean 'Aces' I'm a noob
And I don't have three 10+ of , the Brass Arachnid have an action for give him + for the rest of the turn, but it's true I have three 10+ cards
In the attack on Santiago and Abuela don't cheat any card, Joss hit all attacks and Howard hit the first with decapitate, and the other player doesn't have hand and dont use soulstones.

True, in Game 1 - Turn 1 Cerberus was slow, he doesn't charge, he leap 5 + maul ^^ thx
And yes, the Turn 1 of the second game I don't have the book for three Arachnids but have three 10+ and 9 for two Arachnids, best hand in the tournament
Perdita doesn't kill Joss only with JR, she get JR and hit twice, the problen are that I hadn't have SS, the last SS I was spend cheating initiative, because Joss are engaged with Perdita and Francisco and only 1 SS doesn't works, better start to try paralize or kill Francisco.
Only Hungering Darkness cheat RJ from the hand the rest flip with luck, it's normal Hungering Darkness can find the RJ because he draw so much cards with the lust trick.
And with Sandeep I prevent all atacks with stone but no luck for me xD

Conclusion
Really nice tournament and travel, nice games and in the end I won a mystery box with a special edition performer and can change it for a special edition firestarter ^^
The only thing i hates is the destiny and the BJ and RJ IMO JR are so powerful, I agree in the case can pick RJ even with - flips but weak + severe are so much, only do severe are ok for me...

In general terms I'm agree with you, except I always try hire an IceG for + DMG and a little activation control, but...
Silent One is one of the best Arcanist models IMO, have all that you can want for only 6ss, and in a Frozen Heart Crew is a must, ofcourse people have diferents ways to play but, a model who heals for 0, can shot virtually 22", blast dmg, heal on when shot, place pilars, can paralize in combat with a huge several dmg (try focus) andhave a really nice defensive trigger.
I usually hire 2 of them, and it's the reason who my group of friends never see my Snow Storm dies, shot in combat for heal and healing him, and I can say I play Snow very agresive.

Warding runes does inmunity to if you have the correct Oxfordian near and Arcane Shield reduces the dmg on 1 up 0 and all the crew have it (Sandeep, Oxfordians, Santionated)
So, Black Blood can be dodged if you play good your cards

For the Round1 unknown the enemy faction I think the best option IMO is Colette + Cassandra [PP] + Doves for Schemes and Howard + Myranda to kill
The head places at 3" and Prompt push 3" and Interact =P

Day-to-day my consideration on Ramos decreases, he is really squishy, yes, have Armor 2 but he's similar to IceG, low Def and only 10Wd, a bit low IMO for a Maser who the crew needs, yes I know he can use stones.
His upgrades Under pressure and Field generator that cost 4ss are printed in front of Nico card, and Nico prevents slow on the models...
If you want put Arachnids early you doesn't go heal with Combat mechanic, and if you wait to activate him the Arachnids doesn't sobreactivate before your hitters.
And for the end, you MUST kill one of your models if want summon on the first turn, and yes, you can summon 3 Arachnids with 1AP, but you MUST spend stones even with the RJ for 3 Arachnids, he need a lot of stones to works well.
For the moment Sandeep have a tons of reason to be better than him.
