Tough as nails sounds a bit better, but makes the cheap Family models utterly useless in my opionion. Pass token generation via trigger just isn't working good enough (at least in my experience, since I didn't get a single pass token via trigger in several beta games).

The Domadors need some more more adjustement, because the Mend trigger on Command Corpse is now useless.

Yes he somehow lost Gunfighter during the transition from CB to OB. Just checked the last CB files.

It's not that hard to use actually. With concentrate and the Guild Representative you can get focus to spend on it. The main problems are:
- Normally you would want to use that focus in the offense
- Even if you use it for dmg reduction...it doen'st do very much. In my last game I was trying to maximise focus and reducing the damage buy 1 or sometimes maybe by 2 didn't really change that much.

Asking myself the same question. I'm really considering not taking it even though it is free.

If it's going to follow the release times of the closed beta updates we won't see an update for the next 8 to 10-ish hours.

For the coming weeks I will concentrate my efforts towards Nellie and Lucius. After that maybe some LadyJ and/or Basse.

Got my Monster Hunters on friday and i really can't understand what's going on regarding quality and (missing) quality control (the details of the model seem to less "crisp" than normal, the model itself has some serious moddeling issues, the cards are slightly bigger than the cards before).
Why change the bases? The new bases don't have space for a magnet beneath then, they seem to be thinner than the ones before (so you'll get a much less consisten look with your models) and the worst thing of all: they are SMALLER...
I use pre-cut selfadhesive magnetic foil. With the old bases and the ones from other companies they always did fit perfectly. With the new bases they are suddendly to big.

Depends on what I'm running.
With Perdita I put it on her most of the time. With Nellie it's on The Jury most of the time since Franc and Jury are running together (with Phiona ang a Thrall being the other tag-team).

so I've been lucky at my last tournament and won the big mystery box. Inside was the orange Kaeris box. So now I have to branch out to Arcanists (coming from Guild).
I've already thought about Arcanists as my second faction before I've got the box (because there are some models I could use in Guild and vice versa).

So...now I've got Kaeris. But what next? Regarding Masters I want to get Ramos (because of Hoffman) and Sandeep (because he can use Academics from Sonnia and because he is a good allrounder) in the future. Maybe later I'll add Rasputina.
I have a long list of models, but no idea what to buy and what to leave on the shelf. I prefer themed forces with a light touch of "OP models" which don't fit into the theme and models that could be used for the future masters.

Any advice?

Thanks for the replies so far. I think I still have much to learn. Coming from games where you build one list and play that exclusively, the concept of being able to play a different list every game is still a bit troubling ^^
So I think I'll wait for the next Errata and see if there are changes before investing in mercs I may not want anymore after that.

I'm currently updating my Malifaux shopping list for the next months and I'm wondering if I really need mercs with Nellie. Yes she can take them without tax. And yes there are some really good ones out there. But I just can't fit them in my lists. Since I have to pay 1SS to take them I want to take more than 2 to benefit from the upgrade. But then I'm missing SS for the rest (especially if I'm taking costly models like Aionus, McTavish, Bishop, etc.).

So...do I really need to invest money in mercs? Doesn't Guild offer enough good models to play her on a higher level?

What's your opinion?

Another problem besides the long delivery times is missing product. There is a store in Germany which collects orders from other stores to place bigger orders every few weeks. The prolem is...most of the time nearly half of the ordered items are missing and you would again have to wait several weeks/months to get your stuff (and hope everything is delivered this time).

I've already considered Show of Force. But then I would definetly take a slightly different crew to get more upgrades.

We're currently playing a little league and I'm bit lost on what to play for the next round. It's fixed master, fixed schemes and fixed strategy...so I have a good idea of what I'll be facing, but I have no idea what to take against it.

I'll be playing Perdita and my opponent will be playing Ulix. 50SS with no special restrictions.

Deployment: Corner Deployment

Strategy: Guard the Stash

Schemes:
* Claim Jump
* Eliminate the Leadership
* Accusation!
* Show of Force
* Set Up

So my core crew is:

Perdita
- Trick Shooting

Enslaved Nephilim

Francisco
- Wade In

It will be my first time against Gremlins and although I've listened to the Shemes and Stone Podcast and looked at the wiki I'm helpless.
Cheaper models to get a bigger headcount so I don't get outactivated that much? Papa or Emissary to get rid of the masses?
For Schemes I'm leaning towards Claim Jump and Eliminate.

Dita Box, Lady J Box, Peacekeeper, Pistoleros, Emissary, Effigy, Abuela, Austringer, Pathfinder

Did you look at your order status?

I contacted them a while ago, got the information, that they will send new ones as soon as the problem is resolved and didn't hear anything since then.
But looking into my WGV Account the status of the order is back to "sent to printer". The status changed 2 days ago.

Yeah I know that she can run fine with Guild only...but if I get some Outcast mercs I can tell myself that I now have to buy some Outcast masters ;P
