  1. Ive downloaded Vassal, but having trouble actually getting the module:

A clickable link might help a computer illiterate like me.

The file you uploaded seems to be empty. This might be due to a typo in the filename. Please check whether you really want to upload this file.
  2. Thank god I'm at work so I get some time to reflect before I spew.

One question though Wyrd, NB, what are we, because, (and I cannot stand hearing this): we are NOT glass cannons anymore.

Just a FYI also, there is a typo on Serena's card errata.

Card reads: Horrific Reality, was it not supposed to be renamed to Mild Inconvenience?

Joking aside, you want me to stop using Serena, give us another decent versatile and whilst you are at, a scheme runner, because my opponents don't view any of my NB crews as cannons anymore.

    😉

Unless ofc you have death beds in the pool.

Maybe that's it, NB on its death bed, because the Fae Queen won't be played into a death bed pool either.

Lucid Dreams still snowballs, just at a much, much slower rate. let's say you Lucid dreams 6 cards every turn and don't bring any back with Stitched.

End of turn 1, 3 cards removed permanently from game, 3 discarded start of turn 2 (6 cards total)

End of turn 2, 4 cards removed permanently from game, 5 discarded start of turn 3 (9 cards total), old was 12 cards gone forever

End of turn 3, 5 cards removed permanently from game, 5 discarded start of turn 4 (10 cards total), old was 18 cards gone forever

End of turn 4, 5 cards removed permanently from game, 6 discarded start of turn 5 (11 cards total), old was 24 cards gone forever

End of turn 5, 12 cards removed from game, old was 30 cards gone forever

Playing without a fifth of the deck after turn 1 is still very good (imo) and the keyword is still really good. And removing 6 cards a turn is moderate, you can really ramp it up if you wanted to take it to the extreme and remove like 10 cards a turn in the previous rendition.

If removing 10 cards a turn:

End of turn 1, 5 cards removed permanently from game, 5 discarded start of turn 2 (10 cards total)

End of turn 2, 7 cards removed permanently from game, 8 discarded start of turn 3 (15 cards total), old was 20 cards gone forever

End of turn 3, 8 cards removed permanently from game, 9 discarded start of turn 4 (17 cards total), old was 30 cards gone forever

End of turn 4, 9 cards removed permanently from game, 9 discarded start of turn 5 (18 cards total), old was 40 cards gone forever

End of turn 5, 19 cards effectively removed from game, old was 50 cards gone forever

You can't tell me that old version wasn't OP when you can go into turn 3 with very few to no weaks in the deck. Or potentially end the game with 2 cards in play.

Your math is way off, it assumes every Lucid Dream in old was flipping/removing weaks. Further, old Lucid did snowball but again that snowball meant you were flipping 'less' weaks to remove every turn.

Many threads in the NB section allude to 'when' is the right time to stop 'spamming'  lucid  dreams.

I use it for the hazardous damage. You just need an undergrowth marker near Titania and the thing you're trying to kill, then use her bonus action to move it under Titania (and preferably the enemy), pinging her for a damage and activating the hazardous.

Given I am often already using the Cradle of life trigger to get close to my target, it isn't that awkward to position it a little closer.

How are you 'pinging' Titania for damage from the marker if she is unaffected by Underbrush markers?

It's good to see more Vasilisa lovers fans out of there :)

Try a wicked doll with that combo; it increases the support cost to 11, but it gives you a few solid things: A cheap model to drop the scheme required, a model also able to put adversary (Nephillim) on the model about to get knifed (which I've found important to get it consistently enough; only very bad luck or a BJ will make it fail). And it also gives Vasilisa something to do after turn 2 if you are playing a crew without other constructs, carting that doll around to drop schemes.

Another useful thing I've found with that opening is setting up a second Vasilisa obey to reposition the Mature in turn 2 before activating him (just set up another scheme near of it and don't move Vasilisa too far away so she is still in range in turn 2); that second obey kind of make up for the first turn where the BBS barely moves (but only if you can afford to cheat an 8 the second turn and be also careful not to put him into harm's way if he is still with 6 Wds or you could lose him before even getting the chance to use it!)

Would never take Vas without a wicked doll, that's a stitched later, great chaff, scheme runner if needs be.

However I am a Dreamer player so have WW to summon my Stitched.

I am delving into Titania and have Vas in my list so was interested to know what the combo was.  As I want to play the Queen aggressively, I won't have time to wait for the focus bomb/Mature to happen. And Vas Pull The Strings is reserved for the Rougarou to Roar for 3rd time.

  7. Like a lot of arguments for our 'same' cost models not performing like for like. The theory is that you can combine with X model or X trick to make them shine, invariably this means SS spent in selection or rss used in play.

"Bad JuJu is brilliant, just bring Grootslang to give him that severe terrain"!

NB does have great combos, not going to deny, but it feels like we have to search for the rainbow when other factions just insert X model and it does what it says on the the tin.

One great new Versatile model is what we NB need. Outside Serena/Dopple meh!

I am confused by the noise that many feel GG1 has brought a new era of dominance for NB, podcasts allude to it, but never explain what they are seeing.

  8. I believe the faq cleared up the Autumn Knight's Challenge ability can stack, ie  2 challenges: 2 discards.

How does Challenge interact with Wrath's front of card ability: Consumed By Wrath?

    Both happen 'when targeting'.

As a Nb player, obviously the rainbow would be 2x Challenges plus a sin token for Consumed By  Wrath, leading to discard 2, attack your mate!

    Cheers

I played the following list against Sonja and got my greatest loss in a while. She blew me to shreds. I like the list but it was definitely the wrong encounter (Ley Lines, breakthrough, leave your Mark, catch and release, Claim jump, vendetta) and opponent. As well as me making serous mistakes.
