I had my first game vs wave 5 "storm" Misaki last night and I was trying out my "make the enemy a construct" TT Mei list. The amount of damage that was put on to my crew was tremendous. Now granted, my opponent had 4 severe cards with the red joker in hand and I had crap but still, I was completely blown away literally and figuratively. I conceded turn three as I only had a few models left and had only taken out one of his. How do you counter this? Keep high cards in hand for when she attacks and hope she gets min damage?
Freikorps.

I have no idea what you mean. For me the Wastrel thing was obvious and was a pretty bad rules-lawyering attempt
Yes. If one's interpretation of the rules requires half an hour to explain and others are still doubtful, just let it go.

I tried Montressor on the weekend and he's not bad. Died to a red joker from Phiona, but that was after a turn of locking her down after she failed her horror test.

Thanks. I don't quite recall where I picked it up, but he does look good. He'll be the Carrion Emissary, obviously. Maybe Brutal as well, since I might be too lazy to paint up another Avatar sized model.
Although Hoffman's Avatar is pretty nice.

Bury Karina's summon with Hannah rather than waiting for it to bury, then it'll pop up at the end of the turn (albeit losing half its wounds).

Thanks.
These are my first three models for McMourning.
I also have Sebastian, Rafkin, and a Nurse painted, and have almost finished three Guild Autopsies. Six Canine Remains and four Flesh Constructs still to go for my McMourning tray (I divide up my models into trays in my carrying bag and paint tray by tray).

Growing my painted model pool, I'm building up my Resurrectionists. The two masters in Resurs that most interest me are Nicodem and McMourning, and I was wondering which models have the best synergy with both of them. Is it just a matter of choosing Undead minions that also happen to have poison related shenanigans, or are there other things to keep in mind?
Shikome are an obvious selection, but are there any more?
Obviously I have Sebastian and Rafkin for McMourning, and Mortimer for Nicodem, but what other henchman and enforcer models work well with them, preferably both of them?

I'd say it's a horses for courses decision. Sometimes Soaring Dragon will be the better option, sometimes Oath Keeper. I used Scion to double walk and unbury Blood in cover before walking up with Ashes, casting Fury, and then chain activating Blood to go to town.

Not quite right, they can lower their poison to summon one of a corpsemarker in basecontact.
Thanks.

Carrion Emissary, Asura Rotten (5th wave), Anna Lovelace can summon with her gun attack. Guild Autopsies can summon one if they kill a model (good luck).
Off the top of my head.

It's good to know Von Schill has benefited from the new upgrades. It does seem that that was what Wyrd were trying to do. Weaker masters got some flavourful buffs to make them stronger, while stronger masters just got some flavourful buffs that keep them roughly the same.
Although then there's Hamelin.

Give him "shooting expert" so he can spend AP on movement, and still get off a shot?
Or (with I Pay Better) get the coveted two focused shots a turn.

I focus melee attacks if I'm holding the Red Joker (and preferably the Black) and have a high card in my hand that I can win the duel with. If I don't have the Red, then Flurry is a good way to go Joker fishing, although again I prefer to be holding the Black.

I believe the Pale Rider is the same.
Thankfully I have the metal model.

With access to non-gamin Academics and Beasts now, I'm wondering if MacMourning is rivaling Leveticus for potential hiring pool, albeit spread over two factions.
-
There's a horse with one point of contact to its base?
-
I'm doing the same, although I've only painted Grimwell at the moment.
A lawyer can also fit in there. You need someone to deal with malpractise suits, and a performer wouldn't be completely out of place, "but of course I'm an intern" *flutters eyelashes*. A reporter doing an "investigation", although more likely going to end up on MacMourning's slab, could be in theme too.
I'm going to use Simulcrum #27 as the Brutal Effigy, even though "technically" he's the proxy for the Carrion Emissary. Dual faction master, dual faction Emissary, I say.

Yes, I saw that and went and bought the Mounted Guard regular box.

Rule for new models. Always have two points of contact on the base. Try to make it in as few pieces as possible. Try to make heads in one piece.

That said, you're still investing 10 stones, and probably a few cards, in removing that one model, so you'd better make sure it's worth it.

Give Mech Rider a requirement for an extra suit so bringing it back to the level it is now.

I have a Scorpius, a couple of Rattlers, Shikome.
There's some fun things you can do with McMourning that distinguishes him from "the" beast master, Marcus.

Remove the "turn number minus 1" limitation. Instead just "turn number" so instead of starting with nothing, they start with one, and with the appropriate card you can get something done on the first turn.

Guild or Ressers?

Whatever you start with in Malifaux is going to be tricky at first. Each model has a bunch of rules on its card, and they'll take time to learn when to use them.
Don't worry about how tricky a faction is to play. Play the one that you feel like playing.
