Zipp has crossover in burt jebsen and flying piglets. Then if you feel like getting into ophelia later, merris is infamous and sammy is wizz-bang so a lot of models end up being shared between masters. Tricky you might share less models but there's nothing wrong with getting mah tucket all these masters play pretty differently in my opinion so you have a lot of different fun playstyles.
Also the mechanized porkchop, though it doesn't share keywords with either is versatile and is pretty useful to both wong (if you use melee troops like swine cursed) and mah tucket. -
Brewmasters distract no longer being capped at 2.

Simple wishlist, put McMourning back in the guild. McCabe too.

First off thank you all for the help and I have two last questions
First besides Zipp and Big Hat core boxes what are some other good Bayou core boxes for a Gremlin player?
Second how does my updated Crew look?
Captain Zipp
The First Mate
Mancha Rojo
Earl Burns
Wrastlers
Flying Piglet
Iron Skeeters
Gracie/Burt Jebsen-I'm debating on these I don't if they would be a good edition for my crew but I would rotation them between matches or swap them out with another model
Bayou Gremlins
The flying piglets come in a box with "merris lacroix" who can fly, you could use them instead of gracie/burt. I would consider maybe Ophelia's crew good? Just because i don't think you need as many models. Her core box + "copycats" has most of her stuff i think. They are a family of models who are "imitations" of other, human models. Mostly Perdita from guild. They can chuck dynamite, curse people, shoot them with guns they have it all! "Merris Lacroix" not only works for Zipp, but also works for Ophelia as she is part of her family (and is a "copy" of Kaeris, the arcanist master)

That's a good point xD
So even a size one model can stop the sight lines being drawn?
I think it has to be 40mm? I don't think a 30mm can do it.

The idea is they run up to one lamp to light it, then move towards other ones to light it but can still interact back near the first one they lit, letting them threaten to interact in TWO places.

So walking a Whiskey Golem onto a Lamp marker gives the Golem Concealing but blocks all other effects from occurring?
If its blocking the whole thing then can't nobody draw lines through the concealing, so there's no concealing?

I never thought of pushing moorwraith or grave goo with lamplighter just for shielded that makes a lot of sense. Surveyor chain gang too i suppose.

Had a game where i tried out seekers vs a friend playing dreamer, i made tons of mistakes in hiring and playing. This is a complex crew to play and you will make lots of mistakes in your first games or at least take a long time to do your turns. Every time something heals (which is often) you may choose trigger often 3-4 different chronicle effects and which ones you want to use plus how you want to use them can be overwhelming. When a regenerating model activates and you have to choose whether to transform that into damage with jedza, then if you don't do that now you can push it, move moorwraiths towards it, mess with discard piles, teleport mikhail, poison things with grave goo etc it ends up taking a while. Also your positioning and line of sight to Jedza is so important it makes every move a complex line of sight challenge, not to mention whenever you make enemies move you have to take into account shimmering lights, moorwraith severe etc. Definitely not a crew for new players!

Grave Goo does treat the 2" with Moorwraith as terrain. Hence Grave Goo can turn the area into Hazardous terrain as long as it is base to base with the area, namely within 2" of Moorwraith.
In that case i think it gets shielded for walking near them too? Moorwraiths sound like they work well in groups if whilst walking together they all end up with shielded. -
Gretchen Janus? More like Gremlin Genius. Its Big Brain Brin in a costume.

But she has unique abilities and triggers, right? To me she seems incredibly unique. Her problem appears to be power level, not flavour.
Her abilities and triggers are in some cases unique yes, but not in what they do. Unseen Manipulator is the only one that actually does something unique, the others are obeys, damage, discards, draw or deck manipulation. You can argue that she does these in very slightly different ways but the end results are not really very unique. Looking at the top of the fate deck when models activate nearby for example sounds very unique, but in practice its not any different to other "debuff when models activate nearby" auras. Its difficult to see what is different about her compared to say, Allison Dade, other than that Allison Dade does more damage and is generally more consistent in the use of her abilities.
I don't think every master is super unique, obviously damage masters all do "damage" but Youko is just even less unique than the average master. The only other case i can think of this bad is Basse/Mad Dog Brackett in terms of "henchmen do the job better than the master".

Berserker Husks are interesting. The ability to creep along towards enemy units once they have parasite tokens means they will be more mobile than they appear after the start. 2/3/5 isn't special but stat 6 on only a 6 cost is quite nice plus with ruthless and relentless they will counter certain models. Meredith can also turn an eyes and ears into one per turn.

I prefer the effigy for lead the way. Given how well jedza crew protects allies it might be good to take the effigy grow up upgrade?

This master seems like she is nuts with the emissary? Take the Hit ensures the master will never die, even if lowering health to heal up again. If the Emissary dies, Jedza just brings it back with a life token (and then you have to go through Hard to Kill again).
The emmissary isn't a seeker so i don't think life tokens work on it.

Moorwraiths seem like they really need to stay in the bubble, armor is nice but they are still DF4. Both they and the Grave Goo can make use of shielded from the bellhop porter.

So moordrake has shade step where he can be placed within 6 in concealing terrain. So does there have to be concealing terrain there before he jumps or does his aura of concealment count for that?
Im fairly certain the terrain has to be there before he can place.

The Archivist can use his Siphon Power to attack friendly models, drawing cards, damaging them (+1 other nearby model thanks to siphon power) and dropping web markers, whilst boosting your initiative flips. Jedza and pals can then heal them up for chronicle effects, whilst largely ignoring the web markers. For extra fun, hire nexus to turn those webs into Eyes and Ears that can tie up foes and trigger chronicle in funny ways with "we are legion". Or even just play a Nexus crew and throw in a seeker or two. Meredith+Nexus could make an okay summoning engine in certain matchups for a Jedza crew, since Nexus can use schemes instead of webs and you can make plenty of those with seekers. It all sounds a bit silly, but i do like considering some of the crazier options.

I'm pretty sure this is answered in the FAQ and am pretty sure the answer is no.
I can't find it in the FAQ, but there are some slightly similar things that imply its more likely to be no than yes. If that's the case it might be interesting to see if there is a way to damage your own models on turn 1. I wonder if Surveyors can use Price of Progress when taking an action that does not generate a duel to take a damage? Being able to take 1 damage whilst walking to set up chronicle effects could be interesting.

I expected to be interested in DUA/Umbra and Cadmus but mostly I'm intrigued by the Seekers.
Tannenbaum's Inkfingers reminds me a lot of som'er teeth jones' "Bigger Hat Than You" only much more consistent. Its a little sad to see interesting master abilities given out in stronger form to henchmen. Seekers maybe arent super fast and probably enjoy their bubble, but the intrepid effigy can lead the way, sohpie gives them +1 move, surveyors have chain gang and of course there is a weary road. I think the idea is you of course have your jedza bubble, but models like the Grave Goo seem good at holding a flank on their own. It looks to me like a Lamplighter + Grave Goo, The Damned or maybe even just a Surveyor would make a decent duo on their own outside of the bubble. Do models count as having healed for chronicle if they were already full health when a healing effect is applied?

How exactly do Hopeful Prospects turn into things like Moorwraiths or Brocken Spectres? I imagine the process isn't very pleasant. I'm a big fan of poison and there are a lot of poison options in explorers. I do wish Brewmaster or Mcmourning could borrow their debilitating poison ability, after all cadmus stole catalyst!

A master who is an animal, with a totem that is its "owner" would be cool. Like a dog, rooster or gator. Then its totem could be the gremlin that technically keeps the beast as its pet, but in reality is basically just subservient to the beast.
Besides that, yeah a wrestling master would be cool. Or maybe an ancient gremlin from before humans came to malifaux. Everyone seems to be coming up with pretty good ideas too.- 1

The benefit of appraise is removing markers at range, the card draw is gravy.

Brewmaster has a few models that give out burning, popcorn turner and the ignite fumes actions on whiskey gamin/golem being the main ones. In gremlins there isn't much you can do with this, hire ophelia maybe? In Ten Thunders the Obsidian Statue and Wanyudo seem appealing for intense heat and hold back the flames. Shenlong might hire brewie when using tanuki/fermenteds for access to some fun times.

Can't the sniper kin fire a LOS ignoring weapon at very long range? Obviously with needing to equip the upgrade and try to get some focus it's not resource free but this seems to add a kind of utility that is pretty rare and pretty hard to counter.
