  1. I only spend stones on extra cards in 2 situations.

Firstly if I already have enough weak cards to discard, then I'll consider stoning for more. (I don't like to take moderate cards out of my deck for no use)

Secondly if I am hunting for a particular card to do something. (Examples include 11 :tome fior Ramos, or a high :crow for Karina or any :mask for Sommer to be able to summon).

Its on a similar vien , that as I near the end of a turn, I'll discard 6s and 7s for Defensive stance, rather than the 1s and 2 from my hands, so I still have the ok cards in my deck next turn, rather than out of it

All this is crew and play style dependant as to what are worthwhile cards and what aren't...

I definitely wouldn't stone and get rid of half decent cards. When running things like tots I take into account low masks to good options for sprinting for example. That being said, my luck with control hands is usually dreadful and this just helps to ease my mind a bit as I really suffer when I have a bad hand.

  2. Plenty in there of use. I'd been spending time thinking about the Doppleganger a fair bit of late too.

Yeah cheating tin isn't too far. I dint drive but I'm sure there's some fairly easy public transport. I also help to rub Croydon Gaming Club if any of you are ever interested in coming. It's every other Sunday in New Addington.

  3. I prefer to keep it in my hand permanently. That way a potential turn 6 and beyond wouldn't be affected by it either.

I too like masters who can draw more cards. I currently play Lilith with Primordial Magic and give Lilith the Eings of Darkness upgrade so by spending 1 stone each turn I'm seeing 11 cards. My simulations have shown me that the chances of having a poor hand is very low and the chances of getting a Joker in hand (hopefully the black joker) is so much higher. I also get to dispose of 5 low cards per turn which is really useful too.

  4. As always lists are very dependent on the schemes and strategy available. In my opinion, having the 1 sorrow is very worth it. With Pandora's Inflict tactical action you are potebtially handing out 3 damage each to a group of opponents. Given she can do this 3 times, it can be huge. I have started coupling her with an insidious madness to devastating effect. In my opinion the insidious madness is worth more to this crew than iggy purely because it makes cheating those inflict WP duels a really touch choice as it will burn your hand in a flash. Even with a full hand you could only cheat 3 times and assuming you can get Pandora into a group of your opponents models they could be making a lot if difficult decisions. Coupled with the fears given form upgrade they will be needing to flip a lot if high cards or they'll end up in a bad way.

I managed to get Candy and Pandora each with fears given form, an insidious and a sorrow all in the midst of Seamus, Sybelle, Bette Noire, Mad Hatter and 2 rotten belles.

It was absolutely savage. But I had to be very careful with my model placement otherwise it would start forcing me to have to pass those fears given form checks on my own models.

  5. Hi I'm John from London, UK.

I grew up playing GW games from 9-19 years old then for various reasons I stopped playing for 10 years until recently.

Friends of mine started a new gaming club in Croydon which istoing really well so they invitedme along. All I had from my collection was my beloved Mordheim, which has been my favourite system since it was released.

Anyway, a good friend if mine gave me a Malifaux intro a couple of months ago and now I'm hooked. I currently have a Pandora crew which is great but i am about to venture into a Lilith crew.

I have always been the sort of player who goes with mercenaries and was initially tempted by the Guild but decided to do a U-turn on that and go with the Neverborn as something completely out of character for me and I'm so glad I did. Whilst they can be frustrating to play, they are also immense fun. The idea of having a killer baby (Kade) roaming around with a giant teddy bear really sealed the deal for me.

Look forward to some great times with Malifaux in the future. Anyone around South London who ever fancies a relaxed game should get in touch. I used to play to win at all costs but I now just want to have a laugh and enjoy playing against opponents who don't take it all too seriously.
