After having to use a Mulligan for June, I am happy to have painted these up for July. Please forgive the seams on the Madness, which I assembled a while before I cared about gap filling.

I hate to, but I must use my first Mulligan for my June pledge. Luckily, I already have some things in the works for July, and should be able to keep up with you guys! Great work all around, as always!

I hate to say that this month really turned around on me, so I will regrettably be calling my first mulligan when the July thread appears. I look forward to getting back in the groove for the upcoming months.

I wanted to check in since I didn't really announce any sort of pledge for this month yet, as I recently have been learning under someone's tutelage lately and have been trying new techniques. As a result, I will likely be able to complete this month, but with an assortment of random minis I have been experimenting the techniques on, instead of focusing on the Thunders like in past months. Probably some Ressers and Neverborn, and maybe a Thunder or two.

TT Bro- 5
TT Bro- 5
Super Weasel- 4
Tengu- 4
Unfortunately, I do not yet have my June pledge picked out, but will have something soon. Everyone's work is looking great!

Thank you very much! I was one of the people who had disliked their sculpts at first, but they really grew on me in a weird way. Guitar Tengu is my favorite.

Wanted to post here for the meantime so I at least make the deadline. I am happy to say I made my pledge, but didn't quite get all that I wanted done. One or two may carry to next month, as I do have some very nearly finished. However, for the sake of transparency, this is what I can say is actually complete.
Despite biting off a little more than I could chew, I loved painting all of these minis this month and look forward to finishing up the rest. There is a spot of green putty between the Tengu's hands. The poor guy fell and broke while painting, and the putty I used to fix it is still curing in this photo. Please forgive him for my clumsiness.

In April I finished:
Toshiro- 9 ss
Ama no Zako- 9 ss
Oiran- 5 SS
I had very much wanted to get some extra things done, but life had some different ideas. Hoping to get a good bit done for next month, as they're all cheap in SS value.
For March I pledge the following:
Got some Tengu, a super weasel, and my newest crutch, the TT Bros. Good luck and happy painting, everyone!

Thank you very much! I actually just primed her with Army Painter Daemonic Yellow, washed it with sepia, and kinda cleaned up from there.

Here is my pledge for April. I did not manage to get any of the extra models done like I was hoping, but April turned out to be very personally difficult.
Anyways, here they are. Not 100% happy with the Oiran, but it ain't bad for the first attempt at a pretty lady, and I really rushed the end of the month. Looking forward to doing the others, at least. Please forgive the bad lighting and blurry picture. My current setup makes taking pictures a chore. Loving everyone's work so far.

This challenge is giving me a problem I did not expect: now I am itching to paint more and more and don't want to get ahead of myself. I haven't even started Yamaziko, but may bench her in favor of some of the plastic Ten Thunders Brothers I got during the Easter sale, as they are some of the models I am really dying to get cracking on, and because the seam in Yamaziko's robe is pretty unsightly and I am presently out of putty to work it out. I apologize for the mercurial nature of my attention. As far as personal lives go, mine has been rather difficult lately and this has been a real pleasure and sort of therapy to keep coming back to.
Another lovely side effect is I have been getting in a lot of games lately and my crews are actually painted.

Gorgeous stuff from everybody. Looks like you all hit the ground running this month.
I wanted to share a pic of all the models in this month's pledge, all in varying levels of completion, for posterity's sake. Please forgive how cluttered it is. Here is my pledge so far.

I would like to add an Oiran to my pledge this month. Got some work done on Toshiro lately and I am rather happy with it, perhaps a finished picture to follow in the near future. I have mixed opinions of him on the board (although I have yet to use him, even) but I don't think it can be argued how much fun that sculpt is to paint.

Shenlong- 15
Sensei Yu- 8
Peasants x2- 4
A little quick and dirty, but I am very happy with them. Also finished off a necropunk for funsies. Apologies for my horrible lighting.
For April I pledge at least the following:
Toshiro- 9
Ama No Zako- 9
May even try to throw Izamu or the Lone Swordsman in.

And gone!

Price dropped to $50, in case that stirs any interest.

Hey all!
I have recently acquired a brandy new Santana Ortega, new on sprue with card, and unfortunately am finding myself needing some quick cash more than I need this lovely lady. US only please, and I will happily pay shipping. Asking
$65$50 PayPal. Thanks! -
Managed to work this out. Thanks!

I swear I'll get used to this. Last one before final highlights, cleanup, and the big reveal. Great work, everybody!
Edit: Finally got the Photobucket thing working, thanks again for the help! I see now where some more washes can be used on these guys too, funny how pics can do that. Overall, though, I am delighted with them. Really hoping to advance my skills over the course of the challenge. It seems like a perfect way of looking back at your own improvements over time.

It is a strange request, but I will be broke during the Easter sale, only to have the funds on April 1st, 2016. All I really am after is the plastic TT Bros, and would be happy to PayPal a little more than the retail price to make it worth someone's while to get them. Please PM me if interested, and thanks for the consideration!

Thank you very much for the quick reply. I hadn't even considered that, but it makes a good deal of sense, especially since you're speaking from experience. Sure beats having to resize each thing too, I am sure. Much appreciated!

Please forgive my ignorance, I typically just lurk here, but is there a sort-of cap to the size/amount of pictures that applies to the thread? I am trying to post a pic, but it is advising that I can only upload files of very small size this time. Thanks!
