  1. Not to hijack the thread but one other question about pigapults/stuffed :

The stuffed pig that is summoned after deployment (from pet project), is this counted as already activated in turn 1 and does it generate a pass token for your opponent? I can't get my head around the start of game timings as "mindless" says it "counts as having activated this turn and neither player gains or discards any pass tokens". But is the deployment phase before turn 1 as it is before the "start of game" phase, where pass tokens are generated. Apologies if I've overcomplicated this.

    My answer is Yes.

Stuffed Piglet gains glowy token on step 5 of Damage Timing (digital rulebook p34) and it's demise ability is resolved later on step 6c.

I've had 3 or 4 games with wong/Pigapult now and have been playing it as Wong = no shockwave, marker, Pigapult = shockwave under launched model (as per consensus on here) as it makes the most sense to me. Totally missed the trick that the stuffed would gain a glowy before dying!!! I've been loading them up with "the glow" before launching. Now they can be extra glowy!

Just like to give some feedback

Venue was great, and ran smoothly (timings pretty much spot on)

Prize support was brill (even if I didn't get anything) though do like to see a trophy of some sorts as well as certificates

Players all seemed great too, no disagreements

Tables were a bit hit and miss scenery wise, but with regular events it wont take much to ensure all are to the great standard of the majority (even ask entrants to bring some along, even small prize for best table maybe?)

Hope this becomes regular as fairly local to me, and north west events seem quite sporadic

Cheers Chris, and everyone I played too (if they are on here, all new ppl I hadn't met before)

Appreciate the feedback Kev, glad you had a good time! Hopefully see you at the next one which will be bigger and better!

  4. A great day had by all at "the good, the bad and the wyrd". 12 players over 3 rounds, my 1st tournament and a pleasure to run. The prizes were as follows (including mystery boxes etc which were randomly determined by a d12):
1st. Dan Green - £75 in store credit and a small mystery box
2nd. Kieren Callister - £50 in store credit
3rd. Mick Jerome - £25 in store credit
Best sportsman. Rob Temple - £50 in store credit
Best crew. James Durr (Titania) - £25 in store credit
    Large mystery box. Kevin Skitt
    Small mystery box. Johnathon Gaskell
Ltd edition brewmaster card. Carl Lee
    Wooden Spoon. Pete Butler

  5. I recently used the golem in a zipp crew with sparks against ressers. Turn 1 zipp pushed him 6" up with the rope, then sparks gave him fast. He was straight into the enemy deployment where they were all bunched up, tying them up for a couple of turns and leaving the rest of zipps crew to score. Now my regular opponent fears him greatly and I've got a new found love for the big hunk of wood.
