I'm running Guild as my second faction, and while it is tempting to GET ALL THE THINGS, I have already spent a fortune on Ressers, so I have to take it a bit more slow on Guild. Yet, I'd love for the masters I do have to be playable.
So how should I flesh out my collection to do something fun with what I have? Currently I have Sonnia, Lucius and McMourning boxes, Executioners, Austringers, Death Marshals, Exorcists and Guild Guards. How do I turn these in to well balanced, fun to play crews?

Bring your favourite Enforcer and come to Work-Work pub at Saturday March 31st 3:00 PM to beat your friends! Sign-up on the spot, no entrance fee, there will be prizes - but if you do not play with a painted miniature, you must buy a drink for someone who painted theirs.

This is a Rapid Growth league, starting March 5th; due to Easter, the last week of the league is extended to April 5th. Please hand in your results no later than April 10th, earlier is better. Arcanists take the victory, closely followed by Ten Thunders! Guild narrowly takes third. Seven people were present, including myself.
Huge thanks to our sponsors, Outland and brettspillshop.no, for prize support!

These are so cool, why can't I play all the factions??
Well, I know why, but ... why not? -
I am available to demo Malifaux at nearly any time if asked in advance - preferred location is the Outlands gaming basement, but it is also possible to get a game going at Work-Work if you feel like having a pint while playing.
On Tuesdays Wartrond has its club night at the Outlands gaming basement, I will be there pretty much every time, as will other players, so this is the best time to ask for a demo on the fly.I can also demo Through the Breach, however, this requires some preparation so I need at least a week's notice.

We are kicking off Trondheim's very first Malifaux turnament at 11:00 AM Saturday 10th February at Outland's gaming basement at Merkur Senter. Free for all, but we encourage enrollment into Wartrond which costs 100 NOK for all of 2018.
Format is Henchman Hardcore, there will be given one hour per game. No painting requirement, but if enough people show with painted crews there might be a reward for best painted. We are currently trying to scavenge for prizes.

Can you force my local store to carry Wyrd products? (they do carry TtB, but I already got everything for it)

Finally! Loving it!

Sorry if this was already mentioned - is there a list of previous errata? I want to have an updated version of all my cards, without buying ALL my cards over again (as that would cost a small fortune).

I won't make the rows too neat, I want them a bit random and ruined to fit the rest of the town and to be more, well, Malifaux. However, I'll put magnets on the actual headstones, so that even large bases can move into the terrain without problems. Making them somewhat modular is a great idea, though.
-
That's great, thanks! Seems like a really good size, that way I can have many without any single one blocking too much of the table.
Also, the 4Ground set (really, pretty much anything 4Ground creates) is freakin cool indeed. Went together easy as that, I highly recommend it. -
I'll be using a modular board, pretty much revolving around this set: https://www.4ground.co.uk/the-curse-of-dead-mans-hand?product_id=1348
Using all the buildings will probably be excessive, and I also want to add a few trees for variety. With enough pieces, I might even have enough for two tables. And yes, I'd love to see pics. -
Ah, but I am making severe terrain, not hazardous. Still, what you say still sound reasonable.
-
I'm throwing in as a Master. Aiming high, particularly as I also aim at high level in my painting.
-
Hi y'all,
I am planning to make myself some patches of severe terrain (graveyard to be exact). What would be good sizes for these patches? How big can they be before they'll be too big and nobody will ever want to walk into them, and how small can they be before they do not matter at all?

Thanks for the input, guys! Particularly the suggestions from Enternal gave me something to work with.

How do you all reveal - if you reveal them at all - Fate steps to your players? Do you tell them the relevant step as the session starts, as the step comes into play, as the session ends or something completely else?
-
Thanks for the help, we'll see how it pans out!

I'm planning a TtB-campaign, and several of my players have no prior experience with Malifaux. I thought about writing an intro to the setting, but then it occurred to me that this probably existed already.
Have any of you written such a thing, or do you know of one I can use? -
As always, I carved a Carver! Happy Halloween, Wyrdos!

I always carve a Carver for Halloween. Maybe I should expand this year.

I guess the big guys are for Other Side. Might be wrong, but that would make sense.

My Santa delivered late... but damn, he delivered well! Look at all this stuff! I thought I had been relatively generous, but this totally puts me to shame. A full Lucius crew, a Governor's Proxy, over two dozen assorted paints and washes - and a brush soap! (the soap snuck out of the picture)
Thanks a huge bunch!- 1

I have four guild guards, that is probably a good start. Also thinking about it, I have a alternate edition Francisco, he has to come out and play.
Any mimics I should look at for Lucius?
