  1. I gotta give a big shout out of thanks to Wyrd for this storied event. I just broke my collar bone last night -right side, and I am right handed which means I can neither assemble nor paint my miniatures and I was feeling very sorry for myself (particularly since this means I'll likely miss out on the Iron Painter) till I read the February Newsletter. Wyrd, not only have you provided much needed reading materials to distract myself from the pain -the February chronicles, but you've given me a project I CAN work on, as I can still type left handed. Zorida definitely pulled strings on this one!:+fate

P.S - I love that song you picked! Never heard it before. It's been added to my play list.:)

Nearly had a rant but seeing as it's compatible with the expansions, I'm all for it.

I too nearly went ballistic upon seeing the words "2nd Edition" when Wyrd still hasn't released the Neverborn book yet. To not finish the expansion releases prior to introducing a new edition would be poor form, but then I read the phrase "compatible with the expansions" and now I'm Giddy as #$^%! Still anxious to see the rest of the expansions come out though. They flush out the world so well! It makes the Fate Master's job so much easier. I got the last of the expansions for Christmas and I must say all of the expansions are stellar.

On a side note, I'm VERY curious about the new skills possibly being introduced. The skills section was in my opinion the weakest part of the system. I've had to invent multiple skills to accommodate my campaign as the breadth is just not there.

Well, the shipping costs aren't a problem, well, I don't find them to be a problem anyways. I can understand it costing money to ship something. The customs and vat charges how ever hurt quite a bit. Those get pretty high pretty quickly. Think that for example for the Netherlands it's a little under 30% on top of total cost including the shipping costs.

Ouch! Canada isn't as bad. Just have to pay the taxes on the goods, though our post office also charges a "handling fee" for parcels going across the border. I think it was a flat $17 last time I checked. Needless to say it's cheaper for me to drive  several hours, cross the border, pick it up in the states and drive it back.  :P

  4. A warehouse  in  Canada  too would be  nice. Adding an extra $20+ for shipping just to drive across  the  border is ridiculous.  Though  it is more likely  to  happen than Europe  now that Trump  is in power.  Any wyrdos  looking to flee the states, Welcome to Canada!:D

  5. LOVE the Alt. Guild Sargent - gotta thing for big girls. :D The alt. Rafkin is awesome too. Perfect for my McMourning crew. The Alt Nicodem is sooo good too. I really really want it but at $400 CAD.  it is too rich for my blood I'm afraid. Darn CAD dollar keeps falling. Wish the Gremlin book and Ripples of Fate were being offered during black Friday. Then I might be able to justify it to my fiance. " No hun I didn't buy $450 dollars worth of plastic (can't forget shipping) , I bought quality reading material for the kids..."    It could work...:blast

come on, you all know you want the child to spread more blight around O.o

Blighted Teddy?!!? No, no, no, no! The Teddy must become demented by the horrible secrets Molly divulges. Ressers to arms! Twist the mind of that teddy and claim the child's soul! Our faction needs a named child.  Incidentally, week 2 first win for me. Gathering Scraps - Ressers Vs. Ten Thunders.:crow

  7. That would be  useful. Having all the upgrade and character cards on the table can get crowded. It'd  also be nice to be able to quickly reference what  your opponent's  army list can do amd Also helps to keep  current on card errata. Looking forward to it!

  8. Interesting. A novel  way of potentially bringing in a  larger  audience  and troubleshooting /refining army lists assuming  it is a copy of the original game. Nothing beats  the tactile  feel  and labor  of  love  assembly and  painting  of  the  real thing of course  but it would be  cool to see  the characters  'come to life' in true  video  game  fashion.

  9. Well, the TT fell flat.  The only models I really like are the Master and her blind banshee looking thing on the far right, which is probably a good thing as I already want to pick up the gremlin faction after seeing Zipp and crew. I'm pretty pleased with the ressers though. I love the ice cream guy and the ghost samari. All of Reva's crew box are great too. The axe guys miss the mark for me a bit but they aren't too bad and they do gel well aesthetically with the shield bearers.  Guess I'm still a resser first and foremost, though we shall see as Titiana was AMAZING...

The whole reason to buy a house is to have more space to store minis, right?

Obviously  of course. My painting  station is too cramped in the apartment and for some reason  the neighbours  complain when  I  spray prime  in the stairwells. Go figure? :D
