I just found a really effective way to cut them from the sprue. Place the flat side down on a blanket, hold the piece pinned to the floor you are cutting out and cut with an exacto knife. This eliminates excessive bending and the rare times that a piece go flying (you have it under your thumb to prevent it)

How did you do the magnetizing? I put down a beach towel so if I lose anything, it's easily found.

Well, I just started putting Lady Justice Together. I had her sword attached and then thought, there is not way I'm painting her chest or face with that on there. So I took it off before the glue set. And then I accidently snapped the sword in half, lmao

I agree. I left the marshall off to paint the coffin separate and that doesn't really count, like you said. Luckily, I had some leftover sprues from the zombies and found some gravestones and skulls to pile up to go on the base.
It would be tricky to keep the connecting points unprimed since they are so small.

My first shot at assembly was the Judge. Then the Death Marshal. Next the Scales of Justice. It was a bit tricky putting on the hands, but nothing a good set of tweezers can't solve.
So I'm starting to put it together and thinking ahead about painting. Do you guys put everything together then paint it or paint somethings separately? I tend to assemble everything in Warhammer and if I can't reach it, that means you can't see it. But in this game, with all the models being out by themselves (and not hidden in ranks), I'm wondering if I should prepaint some things before assembly?
Thoughts?

Yeah I've read a few of those, his art style is amazing. I got a bit into Haunt but I haven't read it in two years now, I should catch up with it.
Dont bother. The new art sucks and Kirkman abandoned the project as well.

Cheers, I really was a huge fan of Spawn when it came out when I was a bit younger, I have read most of it, not sure where I dropped out but the art changed to computer made at some point etc and that's when I had enough.
I agree. Greg Capullo was the man (who drew your avatar). He's currently drawing the New 52 Batman and that is worth a read if you're still into comics.
As for Malifaux, whoever does the artwork is amazing too. I love the style and they have created a really unique universe.

Welcome aboard!
Thanks, nice avatar by the way. I have the whole Spawn collection up to issue 225. It started getting stale so I finally dropped it after reading it since issue #18

Cool, sounds great. I'd buy them all. They are affordable and awesome looking. I have a shitload of Warhammer Fantasy but GW has really screwed their shit up with the prices and policies so I'd like to boycott them. Malifaux is the perfect stop for me.

Hello, I am new to Malifaux, but not new to painting and collecting minis. I downloaded the new wave 2 cards in pdf format and then realized that many of the cards do not have actual models for them. Is there a plan to release these in the future so each card as its own miniature? That would be awesome as I think the 2.0 models are some of the best horror/steam punk themed models out there.
I am building a huge model train city game board for Arkham Horror and Malifaux characters are the perfect scale (they are even the same size as the Investigator Minis made for Arkham Horror from Fantasy Flight Games) and they fit the 1920's era with their steampunk influence and also fit the Lovecraft Universe with their Horror aspects.
