I find the brief backstory and succinct overview of what the models can do and why you might hire them very helpful as a new player. I can glance over these and make fast decisions. While the pull my finger wiki is also nice, there are lots of pages there and that is more of a later resource to access.
It appears core and crossroads are all done.

I have a huge collection of Warhammer Fantasy that I want to sell. I will keep this thread updated with new pictures as I do the laborious task of posing and photographing everything.
I have lots of VAmpire Counts, Chaos, Orcs/Goblins and Skaven, also some High Elves.
Up first, the painted stuff. Movement trays not included.
(18) Mantic Zombies
Make me an offer. I'm posting on a couple other forums, so after some time has passed, I'll sell to the highest offer.
I have lots of Vampire Counts, Orcs&Goblins, some Ogre, some High Elves and lots of Skaven.
Additional Vampire Counts not yet pictured include
- Vampire Army Book
- Dire Wolves (10)
- Strigori Vampire (white metal)
- Vlad von Carstein (white metal)
more updates to follow

I love it so much. You got me wanting to make something similar. Is this your first Malifaux board or do you have an Old West one yet?

Yes, these are pretty good IMO. HOwever, these are my first ever run in with MDF so, there's that. I made my own textures and printed them off to labels, instead of painting the whole model. It made it way easier and it looks better too.

whoa, this is off to a good start. Nice

The board is finally done, now for some playtesting. (I'll have rules to share soon if anyone is interested in helping me playtest (Alpha)
and here is a sample of the Survivor Cards
All the items are magnetized so they fit perfectly on the survivor card. Here are some sample items

Could I ask where you are finding all the images for these? Are they free or did you purchase them somewhere?
Most of the images I downloaded from http://www.textures.com/
You can download up to 15 free each day. The smallest size was suitable for my needs.

@Bengt - sweet, I didn't realize it was used across more platforms. I have a dual boot set up on my laptop (windows / linux). I despise windows but sometimes it's a pain trying to get something to work in Linux (ubuntu).

that's pretty cool, I especially like the wagons. Are those from a kit or scratch built?

NNnnnnnnnnnng it looks so GOOD. I'm really happy you posted this. I backed a Kickstarter recently for Victorian buildings made from MDF, and my pledge was...enormous. The thought of all the detail work on those modular sections is exciting, but daunting. I'm going to try this for sure.
Hey, have you got a link for that? For when it finally becomes available for retail sales, I mean. I'm making up a huge 8' x 4' Arkham Horror board in this style and Victorian age is perfect.

I started painting some mdf terrain and quickly realized how long it was going to take and how much crap it was going to look like. lol. So I found a better solution. Using sticker labels and creating my own textures. Here is the process and result.
1. scan mdf terrain.
2. import into GIMP (linux version of photoshop)
3. Resize IMAGE to 8.5 x 11 with 300 dpi
4. Resize layer to 8.5 x 11
5. Crop layer to whatever current mdf you are working on.
6. Measure in real measurement, the size of the mdf, length x width. Then ensure that the layer is the same exact size in GIMP. Sometimes it is not.
7. Download textures and start overlaying.
8. Print out on Avery full label sheets.
9. Apply to mdf (start with interior, cut around all edges). If you want window glazing, it is better to put it on the bare mdf first, then apply label over it to hold it. I used plastic card sleeve protectors on the Tavington place and it turned out great.
10. Apply exterior, do not cut the sides, only trim down to maximum width.
11. Use pastels to shade the white edges and add more grunge to the texture.
12. Apply railroad flock, various
HOpe all that makes sense. I'll have more pics of the others soon and of everything all put together. The car is a 1:43 Blues Brothers
The gas pumps, AC unit, fence, and streets are from World Works Games various paper terrain (mainly Streets of Legend).
I will probably use left over mdf pieces in the future to give the signs a 3d effect instead of just on the labels.I really think some old western buildings would look amazing with this treatment.
This is part of a bigger Zombie Apocalypse table I've been working on and that's why I've been away.
I see I missed the Iron Painter this year - I can't find the gallery to post comments on everyone's work though, anyone got a link?

They added a shanty Town! and it can be purchased as stand alone if you want.
Of course I can't get the pics to post here. go check it out, seriously, you don't want to miss it.

I agree, and others have stated the same about the mat size. However, World Works Games printable terrain could also be used to make our own modular maps. A game mat isn't exactly modular, but map tiles would be and the style of their Mayhem line fits right in with this kickstarter.
Any plans to expand the overviews on the Main Page?
