  1. I've played about 50-60 games now and only one faction (Thunders) but I think this is true.

For me this is where the declaring factions comes in. If I'm playing against Ressers, unless schemes fall well in my favour I'm going to have to tech up. I'm going to need damage (hard to wound and incorporeal denial helps) and condition removal. Against other factions I'll tech up to a greater or lesser degree depending on Schemes also. The more I need to engage in the Strats generally the more I have to tech against my opponent.

I would never say that summoning is unbalanced at 50SS, it's just something I have to play harder against and I think this has a lot to do with the Faction and Masters I like to play (and my skill level!).

As Thunders I don't find Neverborn so bad to play against but Gremlins are hard, yet our Gremlin player finds Neverborn to be his nemesis. This is a game of many counters, particularly at the Master level and part of the challenge is to try to be ready without compromising your gameplan. All these counters give dynamism, fun and surprise to the game because there can be so many in a single gaming session.

As Ten THunder player surely the moment your opponent declares Ressers your eyes light up, I know mine do. Enter Kang who I still think should have the ability Terrifying (Resser) 16 on his card ;)

  2. I don't know if there's more thought been put into this yet, but YorkFaux would like to throw open an invite to a first matchup to a team in our League for Saturday 11th January. It would be in the Folk Hall where the GT was held (all be it in the room under the stage rather than the main hall). Assuming we know by then the structure of the events and who is in the same league as us.

Let me know if one of the northern team are interested. If Mike's not made the formal approach by then we can always just class it as a friendly warm-up

  3. Technically any TT master can make use of them since the Damiyo can summon them in game, but yes you either need to get the Wave 2 Ressers deck, the pdf copies or a friendly Resser player to steal them off.

  4. Assuming someone can point you out to me Sat morning I'll give you the £2 but my team pick is

    The Beat Sticks

Joel Henry - He's beat me

Maria Wieland - I'm sure she could beat me

Paul Butler - He's beat me in both tournaments I've attend so far this year :)

Martin Jones - He beats me regularly at the club

Bennett Morley - He's beat me once, and it was the league game for our local league!!

  5. If you're playing Arcanist, Guild or especially Ressers stick it on Kang, If the Archers target undead or contrusts the auto [+] to hit and damage is really nasty.  Kang also discourages people trying to lock them in melee, plus if they do he has a push on his attach to free up the archer again.

It is 25 SS worth of crew for two archers, but 6 shots and 2 blast attacks per turn with a [+] to flip isn't something to sneeze at especially in Turf Wars or Squatters right when the enemy is likely to be grouping towards the centre of the board with a lot of the crew.

  6. Kang (Henchman) - Must against Resser and good against other Masters who favour contructs

Lone Swordsman (Enforcer) - Love this guy, his triggers on melee make him very versitile and the 2" push means he can hide behind a building and then charge next turn.

Kamaitachi (Totem) - I like the push plus he's not a peon so counts in some strategies.

Chiaki (Enforcer) - Again nice heal, plus condition removal

Tengu - Working in a pair they are awesome scheme runners!
