So what does a Lady J title list look like? I've been playing og Justice for a long long time, and got the title box for christmas, so thought I should give it a go. Am I playing mostly in keyword with occasional lashings of pale rider and guild steward or is there a wider spread of versatiles?

If they'd ever give any reasoning, I'm sure their views would go down much better. No matter how good a player they are, just flat out telling people they don't know how to play the game is hardly going to generate anything useful.

Dromedar has a really good attack. It's his speed and durability that worries me.
She's generally backfield for me, behind most of the rest of the crew, so neither of those has really been a problem. Plus she can always be healed by the steward if neccessary.

Well done! Love the Marshall Rep. Wanted to ask, how did the DM perform and how did you use him? Same w/ Domador.
So the dm just ran around and annoyed people by being tough to kill. Throwing a bit of healing his way to keep him off hard to kill makes it an action sink to get rid of him. Otherwise he didn't do loads, dropped a marker or two, but that was plenty. Totally worth it just as a distraction piece. Only got pine box off once, but i was never really in a position to use it effectively.
The domador is amazing. Ranged healing as a blast is superb. Being able to put lady j into combat and then keep her healed up while chipping away at enemies or burning through their hand to prevent the stat 6 decay going off is superb. Plus the occasional command corpse onto the dm or pale rider to get them moving faster, especially the pale rider turn one, so he can use ride with me on lady j from 2" in front of her rather than from the deployment line, so adds another few inches to her turn one threat range.
The model i'd be most likely to drop is the exorcist, depending on the opposition, specifically for a recruiter if they had models that buried themselves.

My list from the English GT (same for every game)
Lady Justice
Scales of Justice
The Lone Marshal (9)
Pale Rider (11)
Guild Steward (6)
Domador De Cadaveres (7)
Exorcist (6)
Death Marshal (5)
Plenty of hitting power and healing plus a little bit of movement shenanigans.

That'd be me 🙂 I did better than I'd expected given I'd only played a dozen games of m3e prior to the weekend. Losing round two to the shenlong player who came third allowed me to dodge the rest of the top players day two. Ran the same lady j crew all weekend (partly out of laziness) and learnt a lot.

I wanted to start Malifaux a long time ago while i was living in Austria but never really found a local group and had to travel 2+hours to a gaming store. So my interest wained. I recently moved to Epsom Surrey and am looking to start, It's very easy for me to travel to the Dark Sphere near Waterloo as I have a direct train link from Epsom.
What is the best way to get started? Can i arrange an Introductory game?
Many thanks for all replies.
Hey,
So i'm part of Tom's local group at DS. Generally the facebook group is the first port of call https://www.facebook.com/groups/darkspheremalifaux/ and if you post in there someone will hopefully be able to help, possibly even me!

It seems like a fun idea, if you've got space for everyone to crowd round the table at once. Might have to try it sometime.

@Gitli I'm afraid I'm not going to make it tomorrow, hope it goes well.

Yeah I’m fine with that, mate. If you could message me ASAP on the day with whether you’re attending I’d really appreciate it so I can ensure enough tables etc are set up.
That's great. I'll try and let you know the night before.

Would I just be able to turn up on the day? I'm flying back into the country on Friday night so it'll depend on how I feel in the morning whether I want to play.
-
I'm aiming to make this, assuming trains are running OK on Sunday from London.

As a non football fan, please let's not have it on a screen! I really don't want to have to deal with a distracted opponent.

Oh go on then, ticket bought. Now I just need to remember how to play the game.

It's the magic words from the film bedknobs and broomsticks. Why wyrd put them there I don't know, but it made me giggle.

Certainly interested

I'm now not going to be able to make this. If you're on the reserve list and looking for a ticket pm me.

Hi. Ready to plan now. It's just over 2 hours by car, can you get to West Drayton ? It's on the line from Ealing and still in the travelcard zone ... There's a train from EB at 06:53 Arriving at: 07:07.
That works for me, thanks. I'll pm you.
-
I'm not sure what time it starts, but that's the right side of London. I'm in Ealing so it's easy enough to get out that way.

Getting there by train looks tricky, I don't suppose anyone is driving up from London and has space in their car?
-
If I can figure out a way to get there then I'm in.

I guess you could easily drop either the judge or the domador to get a couple of death marshals in there.
