In the UK tournament scene Vics are used regularly. Three Outcast players made it to this years Masters all regularly use Vics. Not underpowered in the slightest.

In combination with McCabe and hounds the synergy gets scary in a scheme marker rich environment. One or two riflemen with Dash adds flexibility

More entries up and more people paying this week and on the day, should be a good turn out for our first 2 day Malifaux event. Looking forward to it and I bet Paul Butler is looking forward to his all you can eat!!
cheeky

Already done Paul, the rulespack has been updated.
Cheers
We have a third Harrogate player (Old Paul) coming down so those numbers are steadily rising.
-
Could you post the amended scheme pools for the event please?
-
The old and easily confused will be grateful

Ticket bought for Paul Butler
Regards scheme pool on the day will they be pre-randomized and listed on the score sheets? Saves time, keeps things organised and reduces risk of errors in game. The older end of the community need all the help it can get. If Blue Tac is coming he may also want to label his stuff...

speaking as somebody who has driven Ant to and from a few tournaments this is going end one of two ways.
If you don't play rezzers he will explain why you are doomed when facing rezzers.
If you do play rezzers you will come away knowing you will be doomed if you ever face Ant playing rezzers.
I once made made the mistake of mentioning I don't like spiders, turns out Ant knows alot about spiders...

i could kiss you...posting the scheme pool for each round to give people time to prepare.

Large VPD is more about luck of the draw in terms of opponent, master matchup or a bit of critical luck/bad luck which make games swingy. Even the sudo-submarining of winning small doesn't work as an active playing strategy because round two/three you can run in to a high skill player who has drawn tough opponent early.
Everybody knows the answer is increasing round numbers that however brings all sorts of downsides.
-
I'll definitely be at this one - seems the playing standard has gone way down given the podium the other week...
If you want a lift I'm sure we can sort something.
hoping the standard has dropped sufficiently that elusive podium place will finally come around ?

All four members of the Harrogate Tea Party in top ten. Sign of things to come...

Love the model, regularly use one along with traps. Cannot see taking three being very effective. They are poor (for their value) in combat. Shooting is nice but with three of same they will mean competition for high crows and masks and mid value tombs. Could work out for locking down squatters rights markers but unless you invest heavily in both trappers and traps it could go horribly wrong really quickly. Lots of useful 5/6 guild models have three of one kind would be very restrictive.

we have a link to the post from the guy who literally wrote the book, giving a definitive answer. Why are people debating the point?
-
I live a mile from Leeds-Bradford and would be happy to help out with transport to York / back to the airport assuming travel schedules can be synchronised.
-
the different wording is there for an obvious reason. If the standard kill or sacrifice was used the linkage to having the burning condition would be alot more messy as burning is resolved then removed before a model is "killed "
-
That is an over interpretation of the of what is actually written. The ability simple requires for a model to have the burning condition and be reduced to 0 wounds. The timing would only be critical if something occurred between the steps which meant both conditions were not met at the same time. The sense of urgency or transience people are reading in to "when" is an extrapolation.

Well, subject to study time-table, the whole clan is coming. Could the organisers give some thought to a "spectator ticket" for the weekend to cover food.
Will see if i can get the mother-in-law to cook up a batch of jerk chicken
