Summoning some Abominations via from the Aether could be also a good idea, but Desolate Soul is maybe better.

Think about the Warding Runes upgrade,, if you run the Arcanist route. It`s a good option on every Henchman against Ca-heavy crews. Imbued Energies are also pretty cool.
For the 10T road, as i said in the other thread, maybe Yamaziko could be a good supporter, but i don`t have any experience on this. -
I know this weak mind problem^^.
I heard the same about Katakana Snipers, sounds like they are the best ranged supporters in 10T.
There is Hans as Merc, but my game mate and me, we are both dissapointed by him. It`s too easy to stay out of his LoS, and without any extra AP, he his a lame duck.
I know, you doesnt want it, but just for completness, Angel Eyes from the Starter box is also a good idea for range support.
The Freikorps Specialist with his Flammenwerfer also hands out much burning, but since he is only avaible in the Von Schill box - except you`re lucky one, getting his metal version - he is also out of play.

Oiran`s give you Lure, wich could draw models into Mei Fengs reach. If you have to face self poisoning crews, you could use Performers instead.
There is a Melee model arround, Yamaziko, you should have a glance on her.
The Duo Infernale - Mr. Graves and Mr. Tannen - are always good to have and a Guild Pathfinder gives a little bit of range Support (note that the Clockwork Traps are no constructs, so no Railwalk points for Mei).
Metal Gamins get a hard downgrade a few weeks ago, they are Foundries but when you already hire the two gremlin Foundries and the Railgolem you should gives them lesser attention until you really enter Arcanists.
I didn`t mention the Thunders and the Metal Gremlins earlier, cause i get from what you said, that you wanna have a crew free from green slimers. Otherwise i would have told you about them and offer Zoraida and the NvB line, wich is still a possibility after a 10T expansion and not the baddest idea, if you take the two Misters.

I would say its an excellent idea to start with a dual faction master, cause if it turns out, that the one faction isnt really yours or you discover some great models in the other faction, you can easily change and it`s not necessary to start with a new crew at zero again.
Lucius (50), Lynch (40) and McCabe (45) could be a nice starting group.
Dropping McCabe for Beckoners (16) and Doppleganger (11) or Teddy (18) or Mr. Tannen (11).
Dropping Lynch for Austingers (21) and Pathfinder (21).

When the text is in the language of the player, several looks in the FAQs wont be necessary. But it`s on everones own.

I`m happy about a german version, cause in some cases the english terms are not definite enough to non-native speakers, so it makes the rules more clearly and avoids mistakes.

Du hast viele Ratschläge bekommen. Ramos und Raspy sind einsteigerfreundlich, weil sie auch ein gewisses Erfolgspotential haben, selbst wenn man sich Schnitzer im Spiel leistet und weil sie eine sehr breite Auswahl geeigneter Modelle zur Verfügung haben.
Ironsides` Mechanismus ist nicht so mein Fall, aber ihr Henchman The Captain kann seiner Crew gegen beschußstarke Modelle einen gewissen Schutz bieten und auch gegen Constructe ordentlich austeilen. Er arbeitet auch gut mit den meisten Arcanisten-Anführern.
Das Gute an Mailfaux ist, daß man noch gewinnen kann, selbst wenn man nicht mal mehr ein Modell auf dem Tisch hat und daß das Spiel äußerst gut ausbalanciert ist.

You got many advices. Ramos and Raspy both are good starter models, the have a good chance for victories, even if you make some mistakes during the game.
I`m not a fan of Tony Ironsides` mechanism, but The Captain, her Henchman, could protect his crew members against shooting attacks and he can fight constructs more than well. He works well with many other Acranist masters.
Nice thing about Malifaux is, that one could win, even without any model left on board. And the game is well balanced in total.

The Judge with his upgrate is a good piece for him, he can improve the possiblities of your constructs pretty well.
And the Soulstone Miner can do nice things in the back of opponents forces or play well placed "suckers", scoring 3 VPs for 6 SS.

Yes. You can cheat your boxed model up and/or your DM down if necessary.

Freikorps Specialist and Taelor are also more than nice models to have, depending on the missions.

If i didn`t miss it i would say in addtion to the posts above that some Guild Hounds are also nice to have with him (in NvB one could run a 8 dog list with the Corrupted Hounds). With the Guardsmen and Mimics he has i wide range of options. Mr. Tannen is a good protection for Lucius and his nearby lackeys. Francisco could bind some enemies in front of a firing line, protecting your shooters.

Nice stuff, but why the markers have only a diameter of 27mm? For schemes we need 30mm.

Maybe its a result of the edition change: The old Guild Captain and the old Drill Sergant where both put together to the new metal Guild Sergeant as shown on the Arsenal Pack Stat Cards and a new sculpture was made for Dashel. Even the new Dahel has an axe in hand, while the Baton wich is his melee weapon is only hangs on his belt. So the mix up of weapons on the Guild officers just goes on.
I have the complete fat gang, plastic Dashel and both thick metal officers and i`m okay with that.

What i don`t get is, that many in this discussion say "it doesn`t change much, that they loose H2K". If it`s true, if it doesn`t matter, than it shouldn`t be a problem to keep it on the card also.
If the matter is, that they could be summoned, than a change is needed that leeds to a negation of this fact by a restirction.
I thin no one really matters about the PoM stuff, so keep H2K, keep the change on PoM and fobidd the summoning via the Raider. Everyone should be able to live with that.

I just buyed the guys, to have something solid against this op-rezzers and now you drop them down? If only the limit was implemented on the tactical action or H2K replaced by H2W okay, but double dropping is a kind of unfair as long as Rotten Belles CA doesn`t go down to 6 and lost a suit and the FC`s loosing some Wds and H2W!
So your argument is: the errata to MG was unfair as long as Rotten Belles / Flesh Constructs remain as they are. Do you think that they are similar model types, who are a bit too good, thus if one gets erratad the others should too; or is it something else?
I think that there are some models - mostly Rezzers - with some very hard to handle ablities. Who cares about FC´s Df 3 if the damage flip recieves a anyway on a model with 13 Wds? And the lure of the belles are almost unbeatable, if your model haven`t Counterspell or your opponent a very bad hand or a black joker.
As long as this peaks aren`t flattened at first, other errata above typos (like at the guild guards) have to wait. I know, it sounds like the gras in neighbour`s garden looks always more green, but if you look wich combos are allowed to especially the rezzers, and wich are forbidden to the other factions, it`s much more like a feeling. Everytime i think i found a way to handle this broken models, one prohibition appears and interrupts it.
Example: Clockwork Traps are obviously constructs, but they aren`t, cause otherwise Mei Feng would have a railwalk line from turn 1 directly into the heart of the enemy line and they would drop markers when dying for some funny uses on C. Hoffmann.
On the other side Bete Noir can pop out of a zombie chichi in Turn 1.
Or compare "the bombs", Peacekeeper and Poison Bomb: Guild needs much more ressources to get it of than the Rezzers.
Therefore it is nice if there are models arround, wich could resist a little longer on their costs, some tiny jewels and it`s even more worse, if that small advantage is removed while the others still keep their great advantages. After this downgrade, a Metal Gamin just need one focused shot of a decent sniper, and it`s gone. For that creepy metal, i would take the smelter to the court.

I don`t know if it was changed, but in Henchman Hardcore only one henchman is allowed, so The Captain and Cassy can`t run together.
