  1. Hello All,

I just got the Molly Nightmare Crew and Jack Daw's Crew. Since there is already a good thread for Molly lists, I was wondering,

What do people usually take with Jack-Jack?

What Strats/Schemes/Factions do you like dropping him into?

I had an idea of taking as much terrifying as possible, Forcing a ton of checks while interfering with my opponent's ability to Cheat.

My List Idea looks like this:

    Jack Daw 0

    ~~Grave Spirit's Touch 2

    Lady Ligea 0

    Yin the Panagalan 9

    The Hanged 8

    Montressor 9

    ~~The Whisper 2

    Guilty 5

    Guilty 5

    Guilty 5

    5 Soul Stones.

Ive also considered a Buddy Cop list with Seamus and Jack Daw Making Terrifying tests utter hell for my opponent. has anyone tried a variant of that?

  2. Sorry to Make a repeat post if this has already been answered but my Search-Fu is weak.

I see people talking about VonSchtook Crews but in the M3E Download of cards i did not see his card in the PDF's.

Is there somewhere else to grab his cards, or are people building using the last of the Beta Cards?

    Thanks

  3. Hi All,

Played my first game of ToS last night and my opponent and i both couldnt find whether tactics tokens persist between turns. I presume yes as it would be impossible to purchase 5 cost Stratagems in a single commander game if they dont, but just wanted to ask to be sure.

Additionally, Is there no starting hand for ToS? We couldnt find any reference to a starting control hand in the rules and assumed you had to buy them all turn 1 with tactics tokens if you chose to.

Thanks in advance for the answers.

  4. I like the idea of balancing multiple masters against activation control. Sure, you could bring Reva, Molly, and Kirai, in the same list, but you will be bringing precious little else and your opponent will get the chance to throw all their ire at one master a turn and bring them down. Not to mention the huge disadvantage you would be putting yourself at in terms of scheme running potential. Plus they will all be drawing on the same pool of soulstones and will thus be much more limited than bringing a one master list built to support them and able to use their soulstone reserve without other friendly masters draining you.

  5. I think That the Oiran and the Katanaka stuff(Snipers, Crime Bosses) would all fit well into the new Brothel crew. perhaps they will get some more performer type models as it states they have a lot of access to lure. I expect them to be several smaller models with one or two beaters to keep the brothel workers safe.

I have Izamu already, and I'm still buying it, because anyone that passes up Turtle Izamu is either a cold-hearted turtle-hater or a fool.

I plan on using Turtle Izamu first, then when i bring him back with Reliquary using the empty armor model for more flavor

  7. I love this app so far. I assume the reason you cant access any card data is because you need to get permission from Wyrd for that? I would pay for this app in a heartbeat if it included card data. The scheme generator and list creation with the ability to save them is exactly what i want from an app like this. Plus it tracks health and soulstones. Any chance we will see condition tracking as well? IE: Fire, Poison, Chi?

  8. Yes, this is correct.

If you think about it, there isnt much difference either way.

    Enemy Runs out of Cards,

    Model A ends activation,

    Model B gets reactivate,

    Model B ends second activation,

    Model C get reactivate,
    Model C ends Second Activation,

    Model A gets reactivate.

Even if you had to do it one by one, it would work. but its neither here nor there. They all trigger their ability and get reactivate at once.

  9. So the whole reason we have the temp cards is that the artwork for the new McCabe and all the wave 2 masters wasnt all done yet. Once it is done im assuming somewhere around one of the big gaming conventions this summer or fall (its what they did with wave 1).

Once they have the artwork done we will get shiny new cards for each faction.

  10. Reply from Justin:

Yes, he has to discard an upgrade to get one.

No, it doesn't reduce him to a 0 cache master. You are not required to use that action. And, even if you were, there are almost no masters in the game that would seriously consider taking no upgrades at all. :)

So Saje is correct. you need to pay for an upgrade at the beginning if you want to switch out during the game.

    Good catch Saje

  11. I honestly love Tara.

When running her with Ressers I get access to my favorite Flesh Constructs to back up my Nothing Beast and Rotten Belles to lure opponents with their insanely high Cast stat and to turn my Nothing beast into a Yo-Yo of death and destruction.

She gets two activations a turn. one at the beginnining to buff her minions and one at the end to kill things and run schemes. Getting to do both of these every turn makes her insanely good.

Not to mention if you have a few crappy masks i your hand she is literally immune to shooting with her defensive trigger.

She does great against swarms with sympathetic echoes on her sword so Rats, Abominations, and 'anyone who takes more than one of something' everywhere beware.

She plays with Fast and Slow like nobody else. Fast Flesh Golems really hurt when they can be in perfect position or even charging turn one and a Fast Nothing Beast has 4AP per activation. Her 4 point minions can also hand out slow.

Along with time shennanigans she loves to play with the buried mechanic. Her totem and her 4 point minions are able to attack or heal buried enemies or friends respectively. This seems situational till you see that she and everything in her list can usually bury someone in some form or fashion. Masters like the dreamer who bury their own models really cant do anything without opening themselves up to disembodied attacks from every direction.

SHE GETS A + TO HER INITIATIVE!! in a game so heavily dependent on Order of activations, getting an advantage to her Initiative for a 2 SS upgrade cannot be overstated.

This may have been a fanboy speil but she has a ton of different tricks and I have never regretted putting Tara on the table. She is my pick for Favorite caster.

  12. The fact is that in gaming terminology ther is an order magnitude in terms. NEVER is right at the top of it. If a model's rule says something may Never happen then it is absolute. it is only when two Nevers clash that there should be any confusion and if the game designers have done their job right, such an event will rarely if ever occur.

  13. From what i have seen im not sure the avatars are even different models now. If you read on Justin's blog, he mentions that models are not replaced anymore and it essentially boils down to "Add extra abilities when this happens" Its more an avatar spirit thing but i might be horribly mistaken and i really hope i am cause i love my ASonnia model.
